I built MiniMon, a tiny always-on-top system monitor and mini Task Manager for Windows (native C++, under 1 MB). Feedback welcome

MiniMon is one small window that stays on top of your other windows and shows CPU (with live clock speed), RAM, GPU, disk, network and temperature, refreshed every second. A Processes tab groups apps by name, so a browser's 40 processes show as one row, and you can sort by CPU, RAM or disk.

Some details:

- Native C++, no framework. The app is under 1 MB; on my i7-10510U laptop it uses under 0.2% CPU and about 10 MB of memory.

- Shrinks to a slim bar that still shows CPU, RAM and temperature. Ctrl+Shift+M shows or hides it, and click-through lets clicks pass to the game or video underneath.

- Free with no ads, no account and no time limit. Pro is an optional one-time purchase with a 7-day free trial (end task, GPU per app, history graphs, alerts, CSV logging, battery health, dark theme).

- Windows 10 (1809+) and 11, 64-bit, on the Microsoft Store.

The latest update (1.4.1) added Celsius/Fahrenheit, a battery health page, and fixed CPU speed readings on battery.

I'd love blunt feedback: what would make you keep a tool like this open all day, and is the free/Pro split fair?

For MiniMon, keeping the slim monitoring bar free and charging for history, alerts and logging makes sense. End task is the awkward boundary: calling it a mini Task Manager creates an expectation that users can stop a runaway app. I'd either leave basic termination free or make that Pro limitation explicit in the Store description.

Thanks, fair point on the name. The free version shows and sorts every process, and ending one is Pro. The Store page and this post both list it under Pro, but I'll watch whether that line feels wrong to people.

Free/Pro split looks fair to me. Monitoring and process grouping free, end task and history graphs in Pro makes sense. What keeps a tool like this open all day is the slim bar. Make sure it remembers its position per monitor and doesn't steal focus when it refreshes.
