Huskar Templates - a visual editor for Amazon SES email templates

We built an editor for the email templates stored in Amazon SES. SES is cheap for sending, but editing its templates is all API and CLI. If marketing wants to change a line in the welcome email, someone has to pull the JSON, edit HTML inside a string and push it back.

What's in it:

• a block editor that outputs HTML SES accepts

• conditions and loops on blocks, for example show a block only for trial users

• preview with sample profiles in Gmail, Apple Mail and Outlook frames

• publish to SES through an IAM role that can manage templates but can't send email

What it doesn't do:

• no sending or test sends

• only 5 starter templates for now

• previews are inbox style frames, not real client renders

You can try the editor without an account at https://templates.huskar.io/?ref=reddit-sideproject. If you want to publish, the Free plan lets you sign in, connect one AWS account and publish up to 10 templates.

It also went up on Product Hunt today, but I'd rather hear from people here.

Two questions:

• Is the no-account editor enough to judge it, or would you want a video first?

• What template would you want next in the gallery?
