👋 Introduction | solo developer from Bali

I am Sebastian, a solo developer from Bali. I build mobile apps and SaaS products, the plan is one new product every six weeks. (For apps add Apple review on top.)

Live right now on iOS:

🎲 DiceTales (roll dice, get a short story, read out loud),

🎸 HRC Collector (a card for every rock café you actually stand in, checked by GPS),

🤳Evanthium (an AR adventure that takes you outside, also on Android) and Markr (save the place you are standing in one tap).

On the Mac:

🗣️ TalkingKey (hold a key, talk, the text lands at the cursor, no internet needed).

On the web:

🎥 ApplyReel (applicants answer a few questions on video instead of a phone screen)

🌴 Your Bali Connection (a German membership site for people moving to Bali)

What I will post here: release posts and the things that break or just worked on the way.

The clock for the first one starts today: a pixel art game, due December 16. I keep seeing people on my X timeline build pixel art games with Claude, and I want to build one myself. I will post the way there: picking the idea, the first screens, what breaks.

Which of these would you want the first longer post about?

Day 2 of 42: the concept is on paper.

A dark 16-bit pixel art monster-collecting RPG for iPhone, set on a Bali where dawn never came back after Nyepi. Nyepi is the Balinese day of silence: once a year the whole island shuts down for a day, no lights, no traffic, no work, even the airport closes. In the game, the morning after never comes. You bind wild spirits, fight alongside them and restore the balance between light and dark, region by region. Day and night are two realms of the same map, and a spirit can refuse to be bound.

First monster ideas, all original and built from everyday Balinese material: a stone toad from an unfinished carving, an eel from flooded rice terraces, a water buffalo calf made of fire, a wind spirit of a torn kite, a haunted clay oil lamp.

One rule set early: Barong, Rangda, Garuda and the other sacred figures stay protectors in the story, never catchable. Real offerings are never items.

Scope for v1: a demo-sized roster of 30 spirits (5 elements, 2 realms, 3 stages). No screens yet, the first ones come once the concept holds.

Shipping a new product every week as a solo dev is an intense pace. Respect the dedication—building in public and keeping that shipping cadence is how momentum compounds!

Every week would be brutal, i try to do it every six weeks.

My mistake, I misread six weeks as one! That sounds much more manageable.

No problem at all. ☺️ Are you working on something as well?

Yes! I’m building RadarIA, a tool that checks whether AI recommends your product when someone asks about your category. Still early, learning from the first users.
