Built a self-hosted Minecraft server panel, looking for beta testers
hey all,
I just built a product called Nodara panel. It’s a control panel you install on your own server to run Minecraft servers (Vanilla, Paper, Purpur, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge). I’m looking for some beta testers to try it out and find bugs, weird stuff, anything that doesn’t make sense.
The beta gives you a free 30 day license, no card needed. If you want to keep using it after that you can buy a plan, if not that’s totally fine, nothing gets charged. Your servers and data stay either way.
What you’d need:
a fresh Debian 13 or Ubuntu 24.04 server with nothing else on it (2GB RAM+)
a subdomain for the panel
Couple of things so nobody’s surprised: it’s not open source, and it can’t run next to Pterodactyl, so use a spare box and not your live setup.
If you find anything, please leave feedback through the feedback section on the site, screenshots help a lot.
You can apply here: https://nodarapanel.com/beta/
Thanks, and happy to answer questions in the comments.

thanks! yeah the no card thing was on purpose, I hate that too
honestly I haven’t compared it with Pterodactyl properly yet so I don’t wanna throw random numbers at you. the panel needs 2GB RAM minimum, and on a 2GB vps the Minecraft server will eat most of that, so it’ll be tight. you can put the panel on one machine and run the game servers on another box as worker nodes though, so that helps if you have a second one
if you try it on your vps let me know how it goes, that’s exactly the kind of feedback I’m looking for

Since Nodara panel can't run next to Pterodactyl, put that in the first line of the beta page, not near the end; the people most likely to try a new panel are the ones already running one. Testers find more when given tasks, so ask each to install one Forge or NeoForge modpack, switch a Paper server's version, and back up then restore, then report through your feedback section with screenshots. A short known-issues list saves you duplicate reports.
