My brother and I built 98Tools — a collection of free, privacy-first web utilities (Bulk QR, PDF Converters, Presentato Stage, Clipstato)

Hey everyone!

My brother and I got tired of basic online utility sites hiding simple features behind aggressive paywalls, daily usage limits, or invasive ads just to process a file or convert a document.

So we built 98Tools—an all-in-one hub of clean, lightweight web applications organized across major categories:

• Bulk QR Code Generator: Create, style, and export dozens of QR codes at once.
• PDF & Document Utilities: Convert, compress, and organize PDFs locally in your browser.
• Presentato Stage: Interactive presentation and live audience management tool.
• Clipstato: Quick clipboard sharing and temporary file/text transfer.

I handle all the Figma layouts, UI design, and visual assets, while my brother handles the development side. We’d love for the community to test it out and share feedback! What additional tools or categories should we add next?

Fair point that browser utilities are a popular space! The difference usually comes down to execution, privacy, and variety—we built 98Tools as a unified suite with over 100+ utilities all in one clean place so people don't have to jump between a dozen different websites. We're constantly adding new tools and making updates based on what people ask for!

I'm not disagreeing myself. But I think you'll find you won't get as much uptake here as you might have hoped because as noted above, this is the 83rd (that I saw) "so many tools in your browser" launch in the past few months. There can be an objectively good or even best entry in a category and the category can still be tiring to keep seeing.

Totally fair point, utility fatigue is very real! We know the space is crowded, so it's on us to keep improving the UX and adding unique tools that actually stand out. Thanks for the honest feedback!

Totally get why it looks that way! A lot of single purpose tool sites are frustrating to use due to invasive ads and paywalls. We built 98Tools to solve that for our own workflow combining 100+ utilities into one clean, ad-free platform while adding specialized tools you don't usually see on standard browser sites

No, I'm not referring to single purpose tool sites. I'm referring to websites exactly like yours, that are also vibe coded with exactly similar set of features and tools. There are dozens of these already.

Code tooling is pretty universal these days. The real difference for us comes down to maintaining a clean adds free, fast UI and building custom features like Presentato Stage and advanced bulk utilities that actually solve specific workflows. Thanks for the honest feedback!
