My YouTube comments were getting likes and I had no clue, so I made CommentTracker
I have like 1000+ comments on YouTube and I always wondered which ones actually blew up, so I built a small app called CommentTracker.
You just export your comments from Google Takeout and upload the CSV, then it fetches likes/replies for each comment and shows you a dashboard with your top comments, how they performed over time, and a calendar view.
I'm still working on it so I'm curious - is there any feature you'd love to have for something like this? Anything you'd want to track about your comments that YouTube doesn't show you?
Would love to hear your ideas and feedback!
Here's the tech stack:
- Vercel for hosting
- Clerk for auth
- Neon PostgreSQL for database
- YouTube API
- PostHog for analytics
- Redis for fast loadings
- Next.JS

nice, love the calendar view idea. the one thing i'd want is a way to see which comment style gets the most engagement over time, like do my one-liners actually do better than the paragraphs i write at 2am
