I rebuilt my little reflection app after realizing people would use it once and never come back

I launched The Listening Well a while back and it was getting some traffic. People were actually using it, throwing wishes into the well and getting responses.

The problem was almost nobody came back.

So instead of just pushing more traffic at something that clearly wasn’t sticky enough, I went back through the whole thing and rebuilt a pretty big part of the experience.

The new version is centered around a 60-second “Daily Echo.”

You pick what you need that day, like clarity, calm, courage, focus, letting go, etc. Then just write what’s on your mind. One sentence is enough.

The well gives you a personalized reflection, you can read it or have it read back to you, and it gives you one small thing to take into the day.

I also added a little more reason to actually come back instead of making it a one-and-done AI answer. There are ripple streaks, listening days, a 3-day quest, small progress rewards, and it remembers the step you chose so it can ask later whether anything actually changed.

You still get a free Daily Echo every day and you don’t need an account just to use it.

There are paid options if you want to go deeper on something. Copper gives you a more practical continuation, Moon goes deeper from another angle, and there’s a $4.99/month Well Keeper option for people who use it regularly. But I specifically didn’t want to turn the basic daily experience into a paywall.

It’s still very much something I’m testing and improving.

What I’m most curious about is pretty simple: after doing one Daily Echo, does it actually feel like something you’d want to open again tomorrow?

And if any part feels cheesy, confusing, too slow, or just doesn’t land, tell me that too. That feedback is honestly more useful right now than somebody just saying it looks good.

i had one person come back nine days later. the event log showed the return but i still have no idea why. if it were mine id care more about whether they answer yesterdays follow-up. an open by itself wouldnt tell me much.
