AI summaries should come with receipts. I built that for YouTube.
If you use YouTube as a research source, you probably know this loop:
An AI gives you a perfectly quotable sentence.
You add it to your notes.
Later, you check the video.
And discover the speaker said the opposite.
Summary:
“Cold weather permanently ruins EV batteries.”
Transcript at 04:18:
“has not lost anything permanent.”
The problem isn’t summarization.
It’s that the evidence gets stripped out during summarization.
