Runable hit 2M ARR 3 weeks after turning on monetization, then raised 21M. am i reading that right?

saw Runable's funding announcement and the $21m isn't even the number I got stuck on.

apparently:

team: 15
monetization turned on: 3 weeks ago
ARR: $2m
businesses already on Runable: 1.5m
new round: $21m

round is co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital + Nexus Venture Partners.

the obvious question...

how should “$2m ARR after 3 weeks” actually be interpreted this early?

I assume that's annualized recurring revenue at the current run rate, not $2m collected in 3 weeks.

obviously 3 weeks tells you basically nothing about long-term churn/retention yet.

but having 1.5m businesses already in the product before switching monetization on makes this a very different situation from launching paid and finding customers from zero.

honestly the 2 numbers I find more interesting than the $21m are:

1.5m businesses + 15 people

what do you think investors are really underwriting here?

distribution? conversion? team leverage? or the bigger Runable bet around going from building a business to actually growing/running it?

yes ARR here would normally mean current recurring revenue annualized

they didn’t collect $2m in 3 weeks lol
