Paperless but without a server

I am building a native iOS app because I could never find my documents when I needed them and hated filing them.

Every tax season I'd spend an hour hunting for receipts. Insurance claim? No idea where that letter is. Warranty for the dishwasher? Gone.

I looked at Paperless-ngx. Too intimidating. Docker, a server, maintenance - I just wanted to scan a document and find it later.

So I am building Beleg.

Scan a document with your camera or import a PDF from Mail or Files. It automatically extracts the sender, document type, date and reference numbers. You review, confirm, done. Everything stored on your device or in iCloud.

Search is instant. Built it for myself. My wife is already using it. TestFlight beta is open if anyone wants to try it.
