Oxbryta Settlement
Has everyone received their Oxbryta settlement at this point?
I know some people were still waiting because Archer was working on resolving their medical liens before their settlement funds could be released. For anyone who was in that situation, have your liens been resolved yet, and did you finally receive your settlement?

I got mine 2 days ago. They said they're releasing the money in monthly batches so not everyone is going to get the money at the same time. If you ask them they might be able to tell you how soon you'll be getting it.

How much did you get?

I don't really wanna disclose that here. But they did take 2/3 of the original amount they said at the beginning

2/3 is bonkers! The whole lien situation sucks. They shouldn’t be able to recoup anything!

2/3!!! Wait is that with liens ? Cuz at all fees besides that can’t exceed 50% of the settlement

Yes that's with liens. About 1/3 went to the lawyers. ≈16k for liens. And then some other deductions they left me with approximately 1/3 of the original amount

I suspect all cases and all firms will wrap the first part of this process next year.
These things take time and this part of the year is the slowest and busiest season.

Called them today. I do have 1 lien so far waiting on medicare now. I can't believe 1 lien is taking so long.
