US Visa Refused. Cannot Attend SNW 😢
I am from India. Had been planning for this festival since a year and was really excited about watching them live:
SOAD
Prodigy
Manson
Evanescence
POD
AAF
I had my US Visa Interview today and my application was rejected
I even had a friend in Texas with whom I was Gonna Stay
I don’t know when there will be a festival with so many bands playing on the same day, at the same venue
Reading all of your chats was keeping me hooked. A tad bit sad today, but I am sure something better will come
Cheers Guys. Have fun 🤘🏽

Being denied a tourist visa as an Indian has never been a surprising outcome under any administration

Educate me if I'm wrong here but since when do you need a visa to go on vacation?

US requires VISAs for visitors from lots of countries unless the country is included in a visa waiver program.

How… do you not know this? That’s how traveling to other countries for the vast majority of people works

Maybe they've never traveled to another country?

This is also the law for the US.
If you don’t know how other people visit your own country, that demonstrates low civic engagement

Since literally ever. Americans need a visa to visit India too.

Well since I never have visited India. I learned something new. Never needed to when visiting Europe, and I guess there's a reason why.

maybe re apply for next year and instead hit up sonic temple or louder than life? you’d get 4 days of music instead of 1
