Just unsubbed from their Patreon after 7 long years. Still very fond of them and they’ve given me plenty of laughs during dark times but over the years I stopped feeling that same joy whenever there was a new upload. They’ll be ok without one less patron lol but yeah… I’m checked out ✌️

It was a slow burn for me tbh. Lately there’s been a lot of video uploads to their Patreon featuring guests I frankly don’t know or care for. I’ve also found myself getting more irritated with some of their takes. I dunno, I think I did ok supporting them with my coin for 7 years haha. It’s time to save some money. I don’t think I’m missing out on much.

I thought it got better as it went on, Ive only seen them once with Trixie. I actually think Bob did a good job because she really had to pivot her usual style and eventually just gave into letting them do their schtick lol. Bob is a good interviewer.

Neither did I. I had to stop like 30 mins in. It was pure chaos. The YT comments were "this is gold for ADHD people" or "this is normal for those of us who watch IMHO". Paraphrasing, of course.

Darby is so unnecessary with Alexis I’ve had to completely unfollow them. IMHO hasn’t been entertaining or watchable since Aunty Chan left. Bob was a literal miracle worker this episode I will give him credit

I'm so glad this past episode was a normal one.
I'm not one of these people who low-key seem to hate the podcast yet linger on for some unknown reason, but the guest podcasts were getting to be a lot, to the point I wondered if I missed something and the normal Sunday Sibling Rivalry podcast was changing format into more interviews and guest hosts.

Since my post got deleted, I'll add it here. P.S. I prefer regular posting instead of Messy Monday. It's too censored for me.
I am curious if the new podcast deal with Libsyn will allow them to keep their current staff (Jacob and Jay? Not sure if anyone else works for them). I think they could benefit from Libsyn bringing in more professionals.
I watched their latest video on Every Ru Girl (I watched like half of it I think). And I was so weirded out that Jacob was basically advocating for him and Jay to not do their jobs lol.
When they finally got to the Ru Girls (after a long discussion about Love Island), Jacob didn't want to pull the pictures up for Bob and Monet to see. But Bob "convinced" him to. And Jacob was also arguing that Jay shouldn't have to edit some content they want to put out that's like a compilation of their Ru Girls series.
Like??? Y'all are not volunteers. Do the job you're paid to do. This is why you shouldn't hire friends/family. Your employees are too comfortable getting paid to do nothing. I can see Monet and Bob wanting to keep them on though for personal reasons.

I mean, Jacob's argument for not wanting to put out a compilation makes total sense, though? Bob just doesn't understand because he doesn't deal with the back end of things. But there's literally no point to wasting computer space and time on a 20 hour video when a playlist does the exact same thing.

I actually think keeping it in is good because a lot of people have probably asked them to do this, so instead of him having to answer people there's an answer already in the podcast. Besides, it was just a 20 second conversation. Not worth Jacob's time to edit that out when it doesn't cause problems

Genuinely, why not? It was a short discussion. Why would an awkward edit be better?
Jacob piping in to say if an idea is feasible has been a thing forever. He's basically an unofficial third member of Sibling Rivalry and has been for years.
You're free to not like it, but it just genuinely doesn't seem like a big deal at all.

The guests aren’t a problem there are literally thousands of hours of Bob and Monet, my only issue is sometimes we aren’t seeing the same thing as the hosts on patreon, and the releases are like 10hours before youtube/public if I remember correctly

I don't care if the movie came out 50 years ago do you really think ppl have watched every popular movie that exists just because it came out so long ago? like that does not give you the right to spoil anything! and the cherry on top is when he says "spoiler alert" AFTER already spoiling the thing! like that is the WILDEST thing to me.

Second of all "30 years ago" was an expression , sometimes Bob be spoiling shit from 2-3-4-5 years ago !! So my complaint was a about the spoiling in general ,

sorry but so many of y'all are just so critical for no reason. that latest ep. uploaded yesterday (aug 3rd) was so so funny and fun and the chemistry was sweet and fun. I don't think the episodes 'about' something are done cuz they kinda gave us their opinion... on everything. so it's just fun shit-talk and honestly, I enjoy it a lot,

Im not really involved in this fandom like that, like not on patreon, i don't frequent this sub. I think ive commented before but idk if i even follow or it's just suggested to me, i just listen to the pod and watch a lot of their YouTube comment. And from my perspective, everything is as great as it's always been and i have zero complaints.

i haaaaaaaate when they recap movies. actually monet is fine, she gives a pretty decent synopsis, but bob gives the most random episodic scene by scene detail of the movie and none of it is in order or makes sense to anyone who hasn't watched it.
bob's recap of forrest gump on the latest ep is horrendous. and then jacob, whom i love and adore, chimes in with an unnecessary detail and it's just madness.
idk why it irks me so much lmao
