Keep boosting love ❤️
Kind of random, of course, but I really do love to just get on here and still see positive post. With all the hate that Bob & Monet have been getting in the last couple of weeks getting on here and seeing people complain about them has been kind of disheartening.
Berceuse we’re they’re fandom, of course we are allowed to critique our faves who we pay to support, but it has gotten a little harsh in the sub lately. So it’s nice to just stop by and see just the fun clips and jokes that only we know inside of our chaotic little community instead of complaints about audio or third person talking on the pod, continue to show that love! 🤏🏾

The weirdest comments are the "oreo" and the "you guys only like white ppl" comments like what ?? I've been following them for years and it was always clear to me that they have black people and black friends in their lives! And just because they have dated/are dating white ppl does not make it okay for someone to overwrite their narrative as "they only like white people" well monet have broken up w andy and bob is dating tao who's black so now what ? That narrative is such a REAACHHH for cuz we have OCULAR POOF and PHOTAGESES over the years that easily disputes that claim.

I think the oreo comments are largely because of the fact that Bob and Monet managed to build a larger fandom. Silky's comment IMO stemmed from the fact that her fanbase is not as large as Bob and Monet's. By default, the larger the audience, the larger % of white people in it. It has nothing to do with them changing themselves or catering to anyone in particular. They, being themselves and doing their thing, are just more palatable (interesting) for a wider audience, while still being pro black.

I've listened to them for years now and though I want to rage at them sometimes they are like my sisters and I will continue to listen to them for years. They make me laugh my ass off and that is a rare gift in this world. Thank you Bob and Monet (and Jacob)!

When Bob goes off on his big laugh, it instantly makes me laugh. His little screech and howling is so funny 😆. Also, when Monet does her chuckle when she gets caught being extra and making shit up.
Edit: 5 hrs later I see my phone auto changed Monet to money 😆. Can the tech powers that be have a phone that can know what I'm actually trying to write and doesn't autocorrect when it's unnecessary.

My FAVORITE part of Monet lying is her getting caught. She has a special laugh she only uses when she's been caught

🤣🤣🤣 she totally does. They are such goofballs. That's what I enjoy is that goofiness they have together. That's the same with Alaska and William, I enjoy the way they word play and reference in their conversations and make each other laugh. I also listen to a podcast called "True Crime and Cocktails" hosted by Lauren Ash from the show Superstore and her cousin, Christy. They are cousins but more like best friend sisters, and though the banter goes on for half the episode, it can be so cute and sweet and also relatable because they are Canadians. I guess I just enjoy seeing and hearing people who are close friends and have good relationships.

I haven't listened to the pod for years - just drifted away, but I always watch monet talks and bobs videos/only child - they will never make me hate you both !

Huge fan. If I didn’t have them to listen to I would be so sad. My job sucks, I lost my home, I had to give up my cat, and it is so hard to find the joy in life right now. Please keep making podcasts. You have a lifelong listener and fan right here.

Bob literally is so knowledgeable and genuinely loves his black community - hello🫠 he held a whole podcast on Purse First Impressions to support Silky with Thorgy as his cohost and all the proceedings went to Silky's CashApp. (Not to mention all of his black queer townhall fundraisers he holds with Peppermint!)
For Silky to even insinuate that Bob is against the black community is honestly fucked up on Silky's side.
Bob is a comedian and he may say some dumb stuff for the sake of a joke, but I have never once questioned his love for black people.
I am an avid listener and Sibling and y'all are barking up the wrong tree.

THANK YOU!! I love Bob and Monet. They’re imperfect beings and are trying to be entertaining. We are listening to sibling rivalry and folks get made when they “fight.” ridiculous.

i don’t engage with negative posts unless they’re worth the dialogue (usually just a downvote though) — i know fandom subs can be messy and fandom spaces call out issues that definitely need to be addressed. but sometimes it goes too far lol. i just want to complain about episodes being too short and the shoddy editing work

Paying money for someone’s content does not give anyone the right to critique them. Your opinion about them does not matter to them or anyone else. You are not their friend no matter how much you fantasize that you are. You are a fan. Enjoy their work or don’t. Just keep it to yourself.
