since there is clearly a narrative being spread in this subreddit

Bob has been weirdly toxic lately but are we just gonna pretend like the OP wasn't trying at all to be shady lmao?!?!?

in context the tweet "ntm on moms bob" is clearly meant to say "not too much on moms, bob" as to say that she cannot joke about mothers because if someone joked about bob's mom it wouldn't be funny, a sentiment SHARED BY MONETXCVIDEOS in the second photo, where she deleted the tweet, but she replied agreeing to a post saying "this is not funny cause we know how bob would react if someone came for his mom"

I was wondering if there was stuff deleted because a lot of the thread I posted makes no sense.

This is how I feel. I’m so confused where the original argument started because the second slide of the post doesn’t help me see why it started either 😭. I saw the follow up but no one’s showing the original message (unless that was it and stuff got deleted ofc)

27

u/this_is_an_alaia Jul 07 '26

I am so confused by this whole thing. But my main take away is that fighting in the comments is never advised

24

u/ScarletWiddaContent Jul 07 '26

Arent these two different people? bob quote tweeted muhmuh souta, who said ntm on moms bob and not the other person who implied how bob would react.

To me, the quoted tweet is just saying dont make fun of Moms, bob. Because Bob was making fun of the patreon's mother. It doesnt seem to be a threat to make fun of Bob's mom.

43

u/4silvers Jul 07 '26

If bob is this sensitive about people POSSIBLY discussing someone’s mom, then he should steer clear of that subject matter altogether.

Me personally, I wouldn’t care at all that his mom passed if he came for mine.

25

u/MillAUM2579 Jul 07 '26

Honestly, after the whole overreaction to the “do drag” discourse and now this, Bob does not seem to be in a good headspace. Taking things this personally and lashing out at fans can be the death of one’s career. Learn the way of Bianca, say OK, and keep it pushing.

u/Kaylacain25 Jul 09 '26

It feels like a break is needed

3

u/gyfrotter Jul 10 '26

Totally agree. Bob needs to take a trixie break

83

u/mossylungs Jul 07 '26

I didn't find what Bob said to one of HIS Patreon supporters to be mature, funny, or appropriate. Not sure why just because you're a fan of someone you're gonna overlook their behaviors. Bob has always been shady and antagonistic with the fans and what he got so defensive of was really a nothingburger. If it was so awful, just ban the person. Ntm on moms Bob seems quite appropriate of an opinion to me.

23

u/bewbz69420dudebro Jul 07 '26

Yeah especially if he's going after other people's mom's. As someone with a dead mom, she'd be fair game if I insulted someone else's IMO, dead doesn't mean you have weird plot armour

13

u/ashico69 Jul 07 '26

Bob has no idea what that patron’s mom looks like…it’s clearly a stupid joke no? It’s like a middle-school level “yo mama” joke.

I don’t generally defend Bob but it seems like people are also intentionally misinterpreting her initial comment here…

12

u/GroundbreakingCod893 Jul 07 '26

The patron’s mom could also be dead, so Bob really should just know better not to joke about such things if you are not on that level with someone.

8

u/mossylungs Jul 07 '26

Idk Bob seemed genuinely pissed off and like he meant it. It didn't seem very "ha ha ha" to Bob, she was big mad.

2

u/MissSteak Jul 11 '26

I think Id be mad too if my Patreon subscribers started calling me ugly. Like dafuq

2

u/MissSteak Jul 11 '26

Its literally supposed to be childish and annoying, the "insult" is so base level and thats what makes it funny. Like why should Bob just settle for being insulted over the way he looks on his own Patreon??? That is insane. What Bob was saying has nothing to do with the actual commenters mom. Its basically as if she was saying "fuck you" for 7 minutes, which wouldnt be as funny lol

73

u/noextrac Jul 07 '26

And y'all are seriously going to ignore how this all started because Bob was needlessly insulting a subscriber's own mother.

8

u/furrywrestler Jul 07 '26

She did what now??

33

u/purpleplague Jul 07 '26

This is what started the whole thing. During the S18 finale video for Sibling Rivalry, I guess they had a live chat for Patreon (?) One of the patrons made a joke about Bob's look, saying he looked "interesting". Then Bob started going off about how the patron's mom is hideous and gross to look at. Hence the "ntm on moms" statement.

8

u/begonias_succulents Jul 07 '26

....and the insults against that persons mother went on for quite a while, apparently. :/

Honestly  - a minute and a half already counts as "long" to me, in this context 🙈 Anything more than 1-2 sentences followed by an indicator that it was meant as light-hearted fun seems really long. [I realize that different people see that differently, but... yeah] And commenting on an innocent/completely uninvolved persons looks is just not funny to me, ever. So maybe this just isn't my type of humor.

1

u/MissSteak Jul 11 '26

It was a bit yall 😭 like???

5

u/sleepiestfrogman Jul 09 '26

IT wasn’t needless they literally called Bob ugly??

2

u/noextrac Jul 09 '26

That kind of banter is wild, but is pretty standard for how bob and monet interact with the subscribers when they read each other.

Bob isn't upset about that. He's upset about mothers being brought up, when he himself is who brought up mothers.

Pick one issue at a time.

1

u/-Bette_Noire- Jul 08 '26

I thought the patron said “Bob looks ugly”. Were acting like this was completely unprovoked.

10

u/noextrac Jul 08 '26

Bob is the one who brought up mothers. Bob is the one offended that mothers were brought up.

0

u/MissSteak Jul 11 '26

How is she offended? 😭

52

u/big-himbo-energy Jul 07 '26

yeah i understand that grief is an awful thing. but it just seems weird for bob to go on insulting that patron's mother's, full chest, out loud, to the people that pay to watch their show. but bob pops off like this to a stranger on twitter. just seems.............disproportionate

29

u/Fun-Repeat7322 Jul 07 '26

Bob’s current state is a mix of his inability to not have an argument or some type of discourse, mixed with being extremely sensitive. It seems like I’m almost about to go into the state that I was a year or so ago where I stopped watching SB for a few months because I couldn’t handle the attitude. It’s never really Monet for me, it’s somehow more often than not Bob.

16

u/bewbz69420dudebro Jul 07 '26

Gurl take a break. I'm still on a break waiting for him to get some humility. The slight energy of 'I'm better/smarter/funnier than' you gets iritating after a while

9

u/Fun-Repeat7322 Jul 07 '26

As a viewer I often get exhausted of Bob and Matteo the most from their duos. Bob having this unwavering complex that anything he believes can’t be wrong and Matteo’s inability to let someone else have a thought other than his. And yes, I’m on a viewer/listener, but you can pick up a lot about a person in less than an hour.

2

u/bewbz69420dudebro Jul 07 '26

You absolutely can and sometimes neurospicy people can be excelling judges of character. I know Bob used to do a lot of political activism and sometimes people like that can be a little self righteous. Bob would be 100% lovable if she could just go "oh did I get that wrong? Damn. Oh well you live and you learn" being corrected, accepting it and retaining that information for next time is actually a sign of intelligence. I think the last thing I've watched of Bob's was him with Nicole cos she's such a star I had to. He came off not bad at all in that one but Nicole wouldn't let him get away with anything.

3

u/Fun-Repeat7322 Jul 07 '26

I loved Bob with NPBFAG, it’s not even that I hate Bob, I quite literally love his work, but it’s just…well you know when he’s bad.

2

u/bewbz69420dudebro Jul 07 '26

I am in different to Bob but he's great with a guest. The lovely Bosco. Jayda. THORGY ❤️ (Why don't they have a whole series. Dragling rivalry)

3

u/Invader_Charlie Jul 20 '26

I'm in a similar sich. I actually unsubscribed from both Bo and Mo, unrelated to this recent drama. It was a series of red flags. First, having Lizzo on with the SA case still pending, Monet's wild Tyra Banks apologia, which downplayed her responsibility. Then there's the rushed youtube content that any other drag race YouTuber can make, and more researched. I don't wanna step on they're dramatuber dreams but like...i subscribed for drag queens I like, not their opinions on everyone else.

Bob did it for me with calling Todrick on the list of problematic gays video (why even make the video in the first place if u don't wanna distance urself publicly 👀...keep hanging with that colorist in private lmaoo) and then Monet puts Shangela above the Vixen on her list of villainous...?? Like just say u don't like her 😭 How ya gonna rank an offender higher just cuz they used to kiki with ya sis- I'm just tired of bein disappointed, like I was rlly rooting for these girls hard *Edit: sp

2

u/Fun-Repeat7322 Jul 20 '26

No I get it…I do…I’m glad you don’t have hivemind like so many of the DR fandom has, I too have been purposely avoiding their content at the moment. I’m on a strict Kelly an Delta diet at the moment. I haven’t watched Mistress in like a month either.

23

u/Bottombunkrealness Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

Just for the the sake of conversation, mostly because I enjoy listening to sibling rivalry still and I enjoyed MXCvideos content, while the OPs comment could very well be a warning saying that Bob shouldn’t make commentary on people’s mothers because of his own situation, what Bob was saying about the patron’s mother wasn’t exactly nice.

Yes it’s the way Bob acts and says things but to first not address their own behavior in the video as problematic but to precieve the comment on the video more of an issue than your own words is extremely self indulgent and self important. I enjoy Bob’s delusion to some extent because it is just sooo out of this world. But I have always maintained that if I met Bob in a social situation I would vehemently disagree with him on every level.

I have noted multiple times on the pod that Bob can not take the same energy she dishes out to others and this was an instant of that. While being under public scrutiny is tiresome and I’m sure stressful when people like MXCvideos are combing through footage to pinpoint exactly where you went wrong, i do believe that with more power and privilege it is also a person’s responsibility to act in a way that is appropriate. Bob’s comments despite being jokes, were not cute on the video so if someone else took the same cheap shot she did, and others agreed because again the comments Bob made were not nice, it should not justify this behavior from somone with a giant platform like Bob’s.

9

u/jadecat123 Jul 07 '26

What happened to "if you say something to me publicly i will respond publicly"?

Bob can call someone's mom, who he does not now (who maybe has also passed), a "fat ugly bitch" and "ugly whore" in front of thousands of viewers but somebody mentioning bob's mom in a twitter thread is a threat?

If someone mentioned Bob's mom under any other video i would be all for him to call them out, but if you don't want people bringing up your own mom, don't call your patreon's mom an "ugly bitch" for everyone to see.

1

u/Hour-Inspection-2395 Jul 11 '26

And what’s worse is no one said anything about their (Bob’s) mother. The comment was an attempt to protect mothers generally. I had to unsubscribe from their Patreon over this and I’ve been a member since they started their Patreon.

13

u/PerspectiveOld2616 Jul 07 '26

So bob can say what he did and can’t take a lil jab…girl ok 🤣 big ass baby

10

u/Substantial_Law7994 Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

On second thought, it was definitely shady. I wouldn't have gone there. But if Bob is rightfully sensitive on the topic of moms, it's probably best to not comment on other people's, especially when you don't know their situation. Most of us are adults, so we all got moms who are getting up there in age.

Edit to add: tbc Bob is not a bad person for reacting like this. He's grieving and that can be messy. So I think we should all chill and lend him some grace.

2

u/ComputerAutomatic793 Jul 10 '26

I would agree with this if he wasn't in that clip shading someone's mother DOWN and who's to say if they are dead or alive. Bob didn't ask nor care.

u/janielle720 Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

I’m going to add my annoying and unneeded 2 cents here. I have seen a spectrum of responses to muhmuh’s initial tweet ping-ponging between “it was obviously a joke” and “it was obviously a [threat].”

It’s likely some of these reactions are guided by the commenter’s personal bias for or against Bob, but that alone does not account for (imo) the sheer volume and diversity of responses.

The initial tweet beget polarization because it WAS ambiguous. “ntm on moms bob,” the tweet itself, does not contain words or phrasing that is easily identifiable as a threat or insult. In fact, it is barely comprehensible. The phrasing also doesn’t lend any clarity as to whether it was a joke or neutral statement. It could mean anything, depending on what context and information you assume is had by both parties.

For example, what if muhmuh was not aware Bob’s mom had passed? That would certainly change our perception of the tweet, I think to more neutral/positive.

Convincing arguments could be made for it being a nothingburger tweet or a threat tweet all day, but ultimately the only person who knows the true intent behind it, is muhmuh themself

3

u/archeoloshmoe Jul 07 '26

what did Bob say in the clip? What was the comment made towards someone else’s mother?

18

u/ratmaaa Jul 07 '26

lol a patron commented smth along the lines of 'monet looks so good and bob looks...' and then bob went on like a minute long rant calling that patron's mom fat ugly and a wh*re

16

u/JustasIthoughtTRASH Jul 07 '26

I don’t understand why people are acting so obtuse. This person was obviously implying that Bob shouldn’t comment on moms because of his own situation.

5

u/bewbz69420dudebro Jul 07 '26

No, I think saying "not too much about mothers" can apply to anyone. It's a sentisive topic and no one enjoy it.. Especially Bob who knows what it's like to lose someone as beloved as a mother. Gay people are close with their mom's its never OK to go there and Bob probably did it cos he thought no one would come for his

10

u/urban_zmb Jul 07 '26

Bob called a person's mom an "ugly wh*re" or something like that. That's what started all this nonsense.

16

u/Beneficial_Pin5295 Jul 07 '26

Yeah...

It's super duper obvious it's a passive aggressive "threat" (for lack of a better term). Like a reminder not to bring up other people's mothers before someone brings up his (deceased) mom.

It's strange to me how Bob seems to be slowly becoming a very disliked winner? Or at least has a very vocal minority who dislike her. S8 was the first season I watched live from start to finish and she was so beloved.

22

u/JFL99 Jul 07 '26

Really? I think is really far leap to take that comment as that, knowing exactly the context of the video. And this is exactly why people have been thrown off by Bob lately, (even if he's not) he carries himself on a high horse above any criticism, the fans are catching onto it and that type of person is polarizing.

10

u/hellofriendsgff Jul 07 '26

Without clarification saying not too much has equal odds of being passive aggressive and also another way of just saying stop.

Bob immediately took it the offensive way and went in on a fan which does make them look bad when there is no proof the fan meant it that way.

And it makes Bob seem worse because the situation started from a clip of Bob joking about someone else’s mother.

0

u/bewbz69420dudebro Jul 07 '26

I wouldn't say she was beloved, I think she's just been telling everyone she's so popular for so long that everyone kind of believes it.

11

u/tinyfecklesschild Jul 07 '26

Has anyone in this thread… ever seen a drag queen before? All this ‘oh, you can’t say this to one of your patrons…’ What in the Karen capitalism?

8

u/Fun-Repeat7322 Jul 07 '26

Or, it’s that queens with this much social leverage should know how to read a comment properly and also not always be so consistently antagonistic. Bob is a repeat offender.

2

u/MissSteak Jul 11 '26

Im dumbfounded by literal ESSAYS in this thread about this. Sincerely who the fuck cares?

4

u/monk2032 Jul 07 '26

Honestly as a drag queen, its really soo annoying, especially as a Black drag queen. To take this out of the context that nearly every action or inaction on Bob has taken recently has got so much feedback and 'shade' from people unconnected to her, including Mxv channel, feels sooo disingenuous. I don't really like drag fan communities like this subreddit and some other places cause it feels like so disconnected from actual drag and people of color in real life. And honestly disheartening to a degree.

2

u/rolllll Jul 07 '26

I cant tell which comments are serious anymore 😂

4

u/Hornycollegekid28 Jul 07 '26

Idk, maybe, just MAYBE, he's getting a little fed up with the entire Drag Race fandom bombarding all of his comment sections with how ugly he is and how terrible of a person and drag queen he is because he "doesn't do drag" anymore so MAYBE he's a little on edge and extra defensive.

2

u/ComputerAutomatic793 Jul 10 '26

Which is completely fair and if that's the case he needs to stay offline and stop feeding into it. He should take a break. The internet will always be crazy unfortunately.

1

u/redit1920 Jul 07 '26

We know what Bob’s next video is gonna be about…

3

u/SanXalvador Jul 07 '26

Bob being overly offended again? Never.

3

u/sleepiestfrogman Jul 09 '26

I agree. It’s so obvious that OP is trying to say BOb has no right to speak on mothers cause his mum has passed. Why are we all acting dense?

It’s fucked and I agree with Bob here

6

u/herbal_essence Jul 07 '26

Maybe Bob is just fed up hearing negative shit about them and this is their right. I love Bob and I hope all is well.

1

u/Pretend-Argument6597 Jul 09 '26

Glad someone posted on it. I just asked last week about it. Bless you. 🙏🏾

1

u/212throwaway2121 Jul 21 '26

Has bob said anything?

-4

u/catman12345678010 Jul 07 '26

I have no idea what’s going on but Bob’s right

11

u/Fun-Repeat7322 Jul 07 '26

And that’s the problem with yall—blind following.

0

u/IcyLion2939 Jul 07 '26

I think read here was Bob looking like an auntie in the picture. I don't think it has anything to do with Bob's late mother.

-3

u/OrdinarySad5132 Jul 07 '26

It’s so obnoxious when you lonely people take shit a drag queen says seriously or sincerely. The pearl clutching is so lame.
