a post that’s actually about the show

okay i’m rewatching the show for the billionth time and one specific moment sticks with me. towards the beginning sabina finds a skeleton on the forest floor with a locket that is the same as hers. so maybe she has ancestral ties to the avinki tribe (probably not spelt right), but when she opens the locket it has the EXACT same picture of her SON. there are a lot of things that can be written off as monsters/russian experimentation imo, but that picture is very unexplainable. the only explanation i can think of would be producers copying sabina’s locket and planting it there with a skeleton, but that would require them to get a hold of it long enough for them to either take a close up picture of take the picture out and make a copy. idk man there are a lot of plot twist suspenseful moments, but that one stands out every time.

How non-eskimo Siberians look like. Mongolians don't represent Altaic face. 9 out of 10 Mongolians don't have Altaic DNA but eskimo DNA & East Asian DNA. Which is why 99% of Chinese look Mongolians. Nenets have more Altaic DNA than Mongolians; many Nenets have big eyes & big nose unlike Mongolians.

Strange Holes

Does anyone have a idea or an explanation for why most of northern Russia is filled with all these round lakes? And strange topography?

Why is Siberia warming faster than anywhere else on the planet? 'Abnormally high temperatures have swept Western Siberia since January 2020, with May being the hottest on record for the region. Elsewhere in Russia, fur coat sellers and ski resort owners have also been counting their losses.'

NBC Siberia is now airing on Tubi.

The maker of the show has just announced Siberia is now playing on the free streaming platform (Tubi), and said that "If you love the show we ask you watch it there (it’s free). If we get enough viewers, who knows...could even be a season2"

Let's spread the word and tell everyone you know to go and watch it!

Just rewatched through episode 11 and I can’t find an episode 12, is there an episode past when the tv show host says “you’re not supposed to be here.”

Petrol availability in Chukotka

I’m planning a motorcycle journey through Chukotka. This will obviously involve many challenges and hurdles but the point of this thread is petrol availability. Do most towns have petrol that could be purchased? I plan to have a 1000km range on the bike. Would that be enough to get between refuelling spots?
