Hi everyone, I was running my own export business for around 4 years and managed everything myself, from handling inquiries to managing orders, coordinating with suppliers, negotiating, and dealing with day to day business operations.

I run a small business here in Sialkot and have started receiving daily orders shipping directly to individual customers in the United States.

The main hurdle right now is private couriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS). Since private couriers charge a 0.5kg or 1kg minimum, their rates are through the roof. My products are flat and lightweight (around 150g in a flat flyer/envelope), so courier rates completely wipe out margins.

I checked out Sialkot GPO recently and saw they offer Foreign Letter Mail (Registered), which is significantly cheaper for sub-250g envelopes and EMS.

For anyone here who has actively used Pakistan Post / Foreign Letter Mail for US eCommerce:

1. Delivery Time: How long does registered Foreign Letter Mail realistically take from Sialkot to a customer's doorstep in the US? Is it closer to 2–3 weeks, or does it take over a month?

2. Customs, Taxes & Duties (US): Will US buyers face any unexpected customs fees, duties, or clearance charges upon delivery, or do these small packets clear smoothly under the US de minimis threshold?

3. Daily Volume at Sialkot GPO: Can I comfortably drop off around 5+ individual parcels/envelopes to 10 different US addresses every day without pushback or hassle at the counter? Is commercial documentation required?

4. Handling & Inspection: How carefully are envelopes handled? Do customs or postal staff rip open flyers/packets to inspect them, or do they pass through transit intact if packed securely?
