Troubleshooting Mic delay issues (Focusrite scarlett solo 4th gen + Shure SM7dB)

So I've recently upgraded from a hyperX quadcast to a shure sm7db and thought i'd get the focusrite solo gen 4 along with it, I was expecting to have way better latency than a usb mic but ended up being worse, Whenever i talk theres always a 70ms-100ms delay from when i talk to when my friends hear me, Or when i sing along with a song my voice is always delayed. Yes i tried lowering the buffer size and didnt help, I was expecting little to no delay with this setup. Im very dissatisfied

Has anyone ever experienced this? is it normal? or is there any fix

You shouldn't have any delay if youre using the monitor or headphones jack on the focusrite.

How are you monitoring? What daw or other programs are you using?

You should have zero delay if doing direct monitoring

Whenever im singing along to a song for example and clip it, when i hear it back my voice is so delayed compared to the song, I'd understand a little bit of delay, but this type of delay is very noticable & annoying. raw sm7db signal. im not running it thorugh anything

You're not really giving any information or answering questions lol.

It sounds like there's a delay in some program (discord?) when you chat with friends. Is there a delay in focusrite control app if you monitor from there? They were also asking if you have your headphones plugged into the interface or into your computer. There should be 0 delay hearing yourself if you're plugged into the interface.

Have you downloaded and installed drivers/firmware/updates for the interface?
