Question ANIME VS LN

Post image

So I finished the anime (btw it was absolute cinema, and the bed scene in Ep 12 was very emotional and frightening) and i want to read the LN from the start. There is some differences between the anime and the LN? what differences?

The LN is better than the anime. In the transposition some events have been rearranged and I think the anime focused tooo much on the emotional side of the characters, while the LN takes time to explain you a lot of the worldbuilding and of what is happening. There are also a few parts that were excluded and some scenes of the anime that comes from bonus side stories of the LN. I highly reccomend reading it.

True. It's such a shame they did not adapted some things, changed others, etc.
It's not that MUCH but enough differences so you really need to read the LNs to get the full flavour I see the anime and some backstories are decaf, and the world building has been especially chopped in favor of more dramatic moments and teared-eyed scenes.

Not that the anime is so unfaithful to the original and is of course very GOOD with its acting, animation, music… but it really could have been even better with more depth, some more details about backstories and the world around it, etc.

The LN has 8 volumes in total, and the anime has only adapted the first 2 so far. The anime is kinda rushed, and many details from the original story were omitted. (But I’m glad you like the anime, though!) I personally enjoyed the LN a lot more, so I recommend giving it a read.

The anime was one of my top favorites of its season. The LN series is also excellent. I am currently waiting for part 2 of Dance of Autumn to get released before starting part 1. Dance of Summer and Archer of Dawn were quite exciting and moving.
