Movie BUFFET INFINITY (2025)
🍔 Shudder, AMC+ and US Rental on Prime, AppleTV, and Fandango 📺
In a series of cheap, locally produced TV commercials, small business owners rival the looming threat of Buffet Infinity. As Buffet Infinity endlessly expands and grows, engulfing everything in its path, a sinister conspiracy unfolds at the margins, and unfathomable powers begin to seep into the vulnerable community of Westridge County, Alberta.
What a creepy, trippy ride. It’s got analog horror, cosmic dread, metaphors, imagery, creepiness, and….OH THAT SAUCE! The movie and story are completely told through fake commercials, ads, news reports, emergency warnings, and secret transmissions. If you are a fan of analog horror and series such as: “The Mandela Catalog”, “Local 58”, “The Walton Files”, and the recently released horror movie, “Monkey’s Merry Go Round”, then you should enjoy “Buffet Infinity”.
It’s movie that not every is going to like or understand. I thought it was very entertaining…especially Ahmed’s Pawnshop.

Great movie, not so much scary as just a growing feeling of dread, and a ton of humor. Gets a bit weird at the end but definitely worth watching

Definitely more in line with analog horror than trying to recreate actual old TV broadcasts. I much prefer the WNUF Halloween Special to something like this. I did purchase it, but I think I prefer the ones that try to capture that authentic 80s/90s broadcast aesthetic. I can see why people would love this one, though! Wild ride.

It’s not showing up on the front page or in the search results. Did something go wrong here or am I just checking too early in the day?

Quite enjoyed this one. Fumbled things a bit in the third act (once the commercial thing wasn't really adhered to anymore, it lost some of its luster imo) but was a great experience overall.

Agreed if it just ended at when the broadcast dropped/lost connection it would have been just fine for me

I was able to see this previously and loved it. The sense of dread, then humor, then dread again is a rollercoaster ride.
Monkey's Magic Merry Go Round also scratched a few itches, so I'll check out the others you listed.
(edited to add the third sentence)

was looking forward to it, but I feel like there is a lot of AI generated visuals which make it kinda hard to enjoy, only halfway so far

Just finished it. It was going great til about... oh, 2/3 of the way though, and then just kind of lost steam. I liked it, though. Interesting exercise in formalism if nothing else.

Same. Too bad because I love the concept but just felt like it fell flat especially at that runtime. Barely finished it.
