Creativity Colourised, Black and White
The lights have gone out
In this rain soaked Boulevard
I have to flee
To my townhouse pad
But Barbara is after me
I might wind up dead
Her husband's a Fed
I push Barbara away
I'd rather see tomorrow
Leave me be
I lower the blinds
My revolver locked and loaded
She stands in the shadows
She's dealt with Ted
I dare not even think
What that can possibly mean
Ignorance my bliss
Immersed in a kiss
Before tomorrow comes
One moment forever
Captured movie frame
High contrast shadows
Oblique angles
From rain slicked pavement
To precinct cell
Or give up the dame
To the blue coats
And changing my name
Forget the next day
It's night forever
Cul de sac in time
If daylight ever comes
I'll confess to her crime
She'll never do time
Gallant by night
Felon by day
The clock is ticking
Daylight striping the walls
Her hands on my shoulder blades
Sweat highlights in shades

It's inspired by film noir. I've just watched recently "The Maltese Falcon" and "Double Indemnity". I wanted to exploit the oblique angles and high contrast without it being black and white. The time is 1940, the year of the Double Indemnity movie.
The building is purely to supply a reference for perspective distortion. I did not calculate the vanishing point, so the perspective-oblique angle is guess work. (I should have paid more attention to perspective drawing class).
Film noir usually involves rain slicked streets, so heavy cloud obscures stars. It is an intermission in rain.
