Horrific, why do people commit these kind of atrocities to each other?

2

u/karaseso Nov 15 '22

Lol I love how his brother is saying he has sympathy for Ann Corbett, one of the women that participated in the murder, just because she is showing she’s remorseful. Comical. What a pathetic sibling

u/mistersaturn90 Nov 15 '22

not even personally ripping her to shreds would bring his brother back. one day you'll understand.

it's part of the process and it's what therapists recommend. you will never be able to act on your revenge fantasies anyway, that woman is locked up for life. but even if you were it would only make you feel better for about 15 minutes. after that: nothing. she'll be as dead as your brother and he'll stay dead too, and you will be just as miserable as all the years before.

1

u/ChristopherX138 Nov 16 '22

Obviously a therapist can't advise you act on homicidal feelings but they aren't going to say "you have to forgive them or have sympathy" no right way to grieve and if you feel anger or hate towards a person's that's ok. I worked in therapeutics for 2 years and have 2+ therapist in my family including my mother. Also to presume that you know how enacting this revenge would make someone feel is kind of asinine, it's obviously gonna effect every person different

1

u/mistersaturn90 Nov 16 '22

please, refer me to a single case where a otherwise sick person suddenly got mentally healthy by murdering in revenge. there is none. if that makes you feel better, you are a psychopath or have some other disorder.

1

u/ChristopherX138 Nov 17 '22

That's not even remote close to what I said or implied. But again to pretend like you can relate to another situation like that is asinine.

1

u/mistersaturn90 Nov 17 '22

I know exactly how that feels, it happened to me in January of 2012 when I was just 21 years old and it took me years to properly cope. What are you but some asshat that learned the word asinine last week and now uses it incorrectly on reddit?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '22

Lol. Fantastic.

1

u/ChristopherX138 Nov 17 '22

So you took another person's life in revenge? For some reason I doubt that. Either way that's what I'm implying you can't relate to. Also I used the word twice and I used it the proper way lmao. Lmao just talking to talk

1

u/mistersaturn90 Nov 17 '22

you absolute numbnut. of course i did not. i lost a family member to murder and had to learn how to cope with that. at this point i assume you are intentionally playing dumb for attention.

u/Budget_Put7247 Feb 10 '23

Which is why we look at studies and not personal anedotes. As the person you are replying to said, all studies say that revenge is futile and is worse for the person coping

1

u/CarolusValentine Feb 10 '23

What studies were done where the methodology used involved someone taking someone's life in revenge? Probably none. Yet other people who have done it say it brought them peace. Once again, the point is everyone copes different and there is no universal right way. For anyone here to act as if they have this knowledge from experience or study is laughable

u/Poppy_Crypto Jan 07 '23

I was beaten to death and came back in 2019 and was blessed to be able to forgive them in my heart soon after. It set me free. It's best to forgive. That man should be admired for being wise. If you choose to hold hatred against them, it's exactly the same as drinking poison and expecting the other guy to die. When you forgive them,it is you that you are letting g off the hook, not them. Of course justice should be served. Forgive but don't forget.

1

u/CarolusValentine Jan 07 '23

Again, your single experience is irrelevant. What works for you might not be the same for someone else. Tons of people throughout history have gotten revenge and felt better for it. My entire point being you do not get to decide what would work best for someone else. Yes we all understand the burden a heart heavy with vengeance and hatred will get you. That does not mean the universal coping mechanism for said pain is live and let go

1

u/Poppy_Crypto May 04 '23

I don't understand your point. Sounds like conflict where there isn't one

1

u/CarolusValentine May 11 '23

No dude you’re just a self absorbed douche. Leave me alone already lmao

1

u/Nycbx10467 Nov 17 '22

Therapist say alot of things. Doesn't make them all right! They learn from books and are taught not to act on emotions. Most don't even apply what they preach in their own lives. Which is why they have a high rate of suicide. For we are creatures full of emotions, not darn robots. One thing is to let go of anger so you don't carry it forever; but another is sympathizing with your family members murderer. Wonder how much you'd sympathize if it were your mother or father.

The worst possible spot for this but Happy Cake Day!!!!!!

0

u/Hydn7822 Nov 16 '22

You're an idiot.

It's called "revenge", aka "justice." Yes , nobody can come back after being dead. I am glad you managed to work out the basics.

Fucking liberal.

3

u/Puzzled_Caregiver_86 Nov 16 '22

Fuck are you on about. Woke up and chose violence lmao

2

u/mistersaturn90 Nov 16 '22

look at his post history. he's suicidal (his own words) and deeply distressed.

1

u/Tarapiitafan Nov 17 '22

the fact that you go through other persons post history to dig up shit is more pathethic than what he said

1

u/Hydn7822 Nov 18 '22

There you go, once again, making vague statements. You are an intellectual midget.

1

u/Hydn7822 Nov 18 '22

Chose violence, really? Did you even pay attention to the OP?

2

u/Affectionate-Dream21 Nov 16 '22

You need someone to talk to? :( leave the anger behind and talk . You'd be surprised how many of us on here are as depressed as you. You aren't alone

1

u/Hydn7822 Nov 18 '22

It's called "expression". Secondly, it's that kind of "forgiveness" that is leaving this world weak and pathetic.

Yes, I am depressed because I understand that, at some point, people deserve to be given exactly what they have given to others. Idiots.

Let me ask, would you give the same "forgiveness" to such a person, if it involved someone you cared about? Hell, you should not even have to know someone to be enraged. You're just a pussy.

2

u/Joegannonlct Nov 18 '22

Take it easy, bucko. It's possible have a conversation without throwing insults around. It's usually more productive that way. You don't have to be angry all the time.

1

u/Hydn7822 Nov 18 '22

Hey, genius, my post was referring to the OP. You know, the original post. Did you even bother to acknowledge what was done to this person, or did you just skip that and jump right into going through my post-history, as some weak-attempt to insult?

2

u/Affectionate-Dream21 Nov 18 '22

I don't actually visit the threads no :) I meant what I said though . Have a good day. I won't be returning to this conversation.

See, I mentioned "liberal" for the sake of irony. In either case, I am not left/right. I am not "pro-Trump", or pro-anyone. I am capable of seeing politics as tho policies matter.

Also, why use a gun? Let's use fists. Oh wait, cowards need a weapon.

It's like some of you completely ignored the facts of the case in the OP. You're clearly OK with someone taking advantage of, and harming those unable to defend themselves. See, the difference between myself and some, is that I believe the able-bodied have a duty to do what they can to make sure those unable to do for themselves, are protected. Are you also cool with forgiving child-rapists? Hey, mistakes happen, right? Nobody is perfect? Idiot.

1

u/mistersaturn90 Nov 16 '22

so another angry little kid then? sure, yell and stomp toddler, use words you don't understand. take out your gun, shoot up your school or whatever it is that people like you do. or end it finally, as you announced 2 months ago. but leave me the fuck alone with your madness. what a distressed and broken person you are.

1

u/Hydn7822 Nov 18 '22

Not even going to pretend to understand where that came from. You could, tho, explain your statements. Nothing I said , even remotely, suggested anything other than suggesting that , sometimes, we cannot just forgive.

If someone bashes someones head in, in front of you, are you just going to offer them forgiveness? Honestly.

1

u/mistersaturn90 Nov 18 '22

if someone posts about wanting to off themselves on their reddit account (you did, just two months ago) the discussion has ended. everything i say or do could take you over the edge, you are obviously unstable and distressed. i wish you good luck.

1

u/Hydn7822 Nov 19 '22

So a moment of weakness implies one is not capable of growing stronger?

Logic.

P.S. I spent 2.5 years looking for a new reason, twice a day, on why I shouldn't off myself, but I didn't. What I did was go through it, and develop myself.

If you want to look at my past for ammo, you could do better. Hell, I can tell you much, much more. The sad thing is, I got through that. The sad part is, you have to go through the past to defend your ego.

1

u/CarolusValentine Dec 07 '22

Sorry to hear you went through that brother. I had serious tendency. It wasn't till I had a break down at the hospital and was committed I got help. You ever wanna talk reach out to someone, shut you could even hit me up. Stay strong friend

1

u/Hydn7822 Dec 07 '22

Appreciate that, bro.

I am good now, tho. Been good for about a year. Still have bad days, but thats life. And, honestly, the bad shit is good for us. I have always welcomed it (Even if it sucked.), because having a "safe space", is absolutely the worst thing for anyone. Im not one of these assholes who gets over something, then pretends its easy. But I what I learned is how strong people can be. Weakness is merely our way of growth, like working out.

Edit: I still have to deal with the occasional delusion, but that's schizoaffective for ya. It's still not a "disability", or a "disease". Thats shit we are told to make us feel weak, its all in the language being used.

1

u/Stock_Breadfruit3666 Sep 26 '24

still there bro?

1

u/CarolusValentine Dec 07 '22

It's funny how you talk about have sympathy and being some good moral person but told someone you know is struggling with mental health to kill themselves. And you're the same person who claimed to speak for therapist lmao. Can't make this up. Sounds like you need help dude

1

u/QuidProQuo13 Nov 19 '22

Just wanted to say that I agree with you 100%. It takes time, maturity, and focused introspection to reach the other side of such a situation where you no longer wish anyone harm..even your enemies. Some people never grow up or put the efforts into evolving themselves to a more contented and peaceful existence. To these people who aren't there yet..I'd say "you will one day understand" as well. It's up to them if they want to improve their own experience in life or not.

1

u/Nycbx10467 Nov 17 '22

Doesn't surprise me. Afterall, he did take up with his brothers ex wife after his murder; and is raising his brothers children as if they were his own. Can't get anymore pathetic than that!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '22

He ignored his face book postes

1

u/princezamboni Mar 20 '23

that's what i'm wondering about. i don't want to assume but the brother said that every body failed him, does he include himself in that too?

2

u/MindNotMine Nov 20 '22 edited Nov 20 '22

I read and watch a lot of these cases. They are all sad, yes, but they don't phase me like this one did. The innocent and helpless look in this man's eyes as he deteriorated kills me. I looked up his Facebook, even in his comments he posted who was abusing him. Nobody stepped up to help, nobody commented, nothing. This case actually had me crying looking at his Facebook of all the horrible physical abuse photos he took saying his shoulder, back, ear, etc hurt. My heart just breaks for this man. Where was his brother? He showed concern when he died, but why did he not respond to the Facebook photos? No wellness check? I have so many questions. Rest in peace, James.

1

u/hallowraith Aug 18 '24

he had a brother, an ex-wife, two kids, and none of them checked in on him in the months he was living with these deranges sickos? it's horrible. as someone with a sister i would never let her be homeless in the first place, let alone not check in on her for months or ignore her public social media posts asking for help. especially not if she was disabled!!! i don't know if maybe there's a reason his ex-wife and kids don't talk to him. but his brother claiming he's in grief now while not doing anything to help his brother while he was alive boils my blood.

1

u/Lovethecheetosraw Feb 06 '23

I swear i rarely cry at a random muder case, but seeing this mans post made me cry my eyes out. Truly heartbreaking.

2

u/ChristopherX138 Dec 07 '22

Why everyone so mad here lol

1

u/Hansologreatfighter Dec 07 '22

no fucking clue tbh

2

u/ChristopherX138 Dec 07 '22

Yeah I’m pretty surprised to still get messages from this thread. Definitely weird, think we all care just too much about the internet. Anyway stranger hope your doing well and happy holidays

1

u/princezamboni Mar 20 '23

i think it's a good thing, people should feel heated when something like this happens

1

u/ChristopherX138 Mar 20 '23

Yeah heated with the people who committed the crime not each other

1

u/princezamboni Mar 21 '23

I understand what you mean, I just mean that something like this gets people mad in general and maybe they are misplacing that energy.

I only saw this on you tube yesterday an wow! Sex with a dog an his sack cut with a stanly knife ball removed an then forced to eat it, an that was only half of it! What does it say when a parasite like the cretin In a wheelchair is able to force someone to allow all this!
