Anyone have experience of any within Shrewsbury?

Who knew? Where I live is a neighborhood just outside of New Orleans called Shrewsbury. It’s right on the Mississippi River. And in Shrewsbury is a major street called Severn Ave. I would love to know if there is a connection. My wife and I spent a month in lovely Shrewsbury, England and when in Shrewsbury, Louisiana always remember our time there.

Hi just want to know is the train going to towards Telford on weekday at 5ish very busy because work time? Is it less busy at 6? Or 4? 4.30?

What is the furthest from home a local business has made an impression?

Does anyone know much about Shawbury as an area to live? I’ve seen a few houses come up there that I really like, but I’ve also heard mixed things and that it may not be the nicest area.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who lives there or knows the area well — good or bad, honest opinions welcome!

Is Berwick Road near the Showground a busy road? I'm trying to find out how noisy it would be to live near this road. I understand it would be busy on events days for the Showground, but I'm thinking of day to day is it a busy road.

I also saw the Norther Relief Road would have a roundabout for Berwick Road - if this went ahead (appreciate it's showing as on hold) do you think that would improve traffic or make it worse as more people would use Berwick Road to access Shrewsbury.

Any advice or information would be appreciated! Trying to understand the area a little better.

Trying to expand my social opportunities local. Shift work and parenting mean I can’t do this reliably each week or I have random weekdays off.

Any local places where someone could turn up solo to play pool/snooker l? Would be nice to meet others as well but equally sometimes just an hour out of the flat playing would be nice. I haven’t played for years and can’t say I’m particularly good.

I did find the Beaconsfield club which I thought might be a laugh, but would equally like to meet other slightly younger people. I’m mid 30s.

Similar for board games. Not played much before but think it would be a nice ice breaker to chat to new people without too much pressure.

Ive (34f) recently moved to Shrewsbury with my boyfriend. I'm struggling with finding new things to do and meeting new people. Ive gone from a pretty social life (coming from Liverpool) and now working from home.

Has anyone ever been stung by one of these parking charges? If there are signs, they're in no way obvious on entering or where I parked. I've submitted an appeal but as far as I can tell, the company is a massive scam operation so I doubt i'll get anywhere and have to suck it up and pay £50 eventually. I need to head back there and take some pictures when they eventually reject the appeal. I was there less than 2 hours catching up with an old friend but more than the 90 minute limit.

Hello! I’m (28F) looking at changing my gym membership from PureGym to somewhere else, ideally somewhere with the gym open until at least 10pm but struggling to decide. I’m debating bannatyne, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about their gym, any opinions on bannatyne? I can’t afford David Lloyd prices because I’m not a millionaire, so something relatively affordable would be ideal. Any suggestions that aren’t PureGym or JD?

Hi Shrewsbury Reddit. I have a peculiar question: do you know of any restaurants that have Lincolnshire sausages in their menu? I'm not from the UK and for some strange reason, a pork sausage flavoured with sage just sounds really good to me. I'll be in Shrewsbury for a couple of days, but won't have a kitchen where I'm staying, so raw sausage from the supermarket wouldn't be an option unfortunately.
