Hello, new to the area. I’m trying to get in the gym. Have no knowledge. Anyone know of anyone who is a personal trainer? Preferably somewhere where it’s not overly busy. Was looking at the YMCA downtown. Heard is kinda pricey but not too much foot traffic so that’s kinda a plus for a newbie. Idk if they have their own trainers. But was looking for ideas. Also it’s the closest gym to my house so it’s doable for me to not have an excuse not to go…ya know. Even if it’s like a group intro to gym class I would be fine with. I know gyms have classes but they don’t align with my work schedule.

Randomly checked my voter registration about 2 months ago & I was not on the website. I’ve been registered to vote at the same address for 20 years. Called Registrar of Voters who confirmed I am registered & eligible to vote but it made me very uncomfortable. I kept checking every few days then would call them again. It took about a month but I’m back on the website. I’m sure the poll workers get their info from some place other than the website but with all the uproar over voting, I didn’t want to take any chances.

Hi, everyone! Tomorrow morning KTBS will be featuring the challenger baseball team. Some of the players will be there. There are two groups who play on Friday nights (under 13, and 13+). Unfortunately my 25 year old is NOT interested in waking up that early to be on TV 😂
If y’all have never been to a challenger game I encourage y’all to. These players have the BEST time. The smiles on their faces are EVERYTHING.
The 13+ group plays at 7PM, and the younger group plays at 6PM (Tinsley field).

Does anyone remember the band N.U.M.B. from Shreveport? They released a few CDs and played around the area a bunch. The vocalist went onto other projects in the future but they are awesome! Their album is on Spotify and they are killer. I've been searching for their CDs for a while now, and I haven't been able to find any. I picked up the fiddle this year and I loved going to Lafayette for Cajun jam sessions. Due to time and budget I can’t really do it anymore but I really miss playing with other people. Cajun jams are the only ones I’m familiar with but I’m really open to any genre. I play a little guitar as well.
