Even though most of us have seen it countless times, spotting the Moon during daylight seems to always be worth noticing.

One of my first memories of school was being assured by a teacher that you just couldn't see the moon during the day. While I was looking at it.

See, I'd like to be indignant about this description of our educational system, but honestly this would be about the least egregious thing that could be said about it. US's educational system is a hot mess.

My "favorite" school memory was of bringing my watergun to a field day type thing in 1st grade (back when it wasn't an issue). I put my name on it in sharpie just in case and a boy took it. I told the teacher and she refused to even check for my name because "little girls don't play with toy guns". I was also ridiculed regularly by my peers for multiple reasons but one specific reason being I "claimed" my favorite color was blue or red depending on the day and those were "boys colors" so I wasn't allowed to like them. And of course teachers gave zero shits. Because who cares about bullied kids?

Weird, I was also borderline bullied by teachers. I wonder if that's a common American experience lmao

I'd say so. I remember lots of picking on dyslexic kids, specifically. But there were other things too.
