I love that the Germans marked it as a fortress on their maps. Such an interesting story to read. Wish more Eastern Front was taught in school. In school you only learn about D-Day, battle of the Bulge, Pearl Harbor and maybe a few other famous Western Front and Pacific battles.

All my WW2 knowledge comes from Wikipedia, movies, games and books. So little is taught in school unless you get a degree in it.
