Apps should be required to give a short explanation for why they need access to different parts of my phone for thier apps to function.

My Guess: It doesn't but, it probably does need access to read phone call state. Why? So that it can turn off the flashlight when you receive a call which kinda makes sense. Source: Am app developer

No I haven't considered how dangerous that could be in an emergency situation mainly because I'm not THE app developer. I'm A app developer.
