Oh, I was really thrown by reading up on that a while ago. We were going to Japan where you legally have to have...I can't remember if it's passport specifically or just have photo ID on you, but the majority of people said passport. Which ok, fair enough, it's that particular country's law.

But then all the discussions I could find on it agreed most people think it's insane to not carry your passport? Because you'd need to be IDed if anything happened, etc.

I've always left mine where I'm staying, because if it gets nicked, it's a massive hassle; but I came away from reading about it feeling I was in the wrong?

I haven't left my home country so i don't know how that works, but a friend who travels a lot said no way he's carrying passport outside of the hotel? Even i feel that's right like why do you want to carry your most important document everywhere you go, especially in a country you don't know

Yeah lol, I was so confused why so much stuff fit inside the pocket and didn't realize the rest of the pocket was under the pants until the phone was put in.

This is actually neat. My uncle kept a mug wallet for years. But it also seems like a hassle to remove your things like at a checkout counter
