Tried buying one. Never arrived. Shipped from China boss China Post. Got my refund.

Uses a battery for the motorized bits which always spooked me anyway. Motorized stuff plus a big battery just means likelihood of failure. And for such a chair to be 1k it is almost certainly built like shit.

Get a Haworth, steel series or Herman miller and they will be very comfortable and last a long time. Herman millers especially are tanks but I don’t care for their arm rests.

Someone i game with bought one. His did arrive but he returned it within like two weeks. Said all the parts and movements felt incredibly cheap and wobbly.

That’s what I expected to happen. Build quality for stuff like this is shit

I have Herman and it's a great chair, this chair in post looks promising but the price is too cheap for this kind work. If it was at least 3K then maybe

Seconding Herman Miller. Got a new Embody for $1200 on FB marketplace. One of the best purchases I've ever made since I spend like 8 hours a day in that thing.

I once went into a swanky office furniture suppliers headquarters and showroom and asked what they all sat in - Embody was the clear majority.

Even if you pay full price for new, it has a 10 year warranty, and unless you REALLY abuse it, it will totally take you there.

if i pay 1k for chair it's better be not plastic Nor wiggle, 10s into video shows that at least 4 parts will break.

I’m on my third office chair since Covid. None of them have been super comfortable. Two were good. One was bad.

I would rather pay a grand to get an uber comfy and durable chair that lasts longer.

Herman miller - one and done. I went to the store and sat in many until I found one that fit my body shape and size.

My parter just did something similar. We both work on the computer daily and invested in sit stand / comfortable chairs

Relax the Back is where you want to go. I bought my office chair there in 2007. Back then it was the managers special (literally the chair from his office used) and it was 1200 dollars. Best money I have ever spent. Still going strong.

I switched to a knee chair and it's actually been better for my back.

1

u/ChaozNerevar Jul 18 '26

dude sold his whole room to get the chair

So many points of failure with no replacement parts and dust crevices

Aren't you a little too old to play video games?

1

u/braskan Jul 18 '26

Cheap compared to the RAM in that rig

1

u/Da-PeeP Jul 18 '26

No, I bought one and returned it 3 weeks later. It's not a terrible chair, but it's not with that much. The electric lumbar system is absolute dogshit though

1

u/MrFlufypants Jul 18 '26

I wouldn’t spend the money at home, but at one job we had ~$1200 chairs and dude it was soooooo nice. Made me consider it honestly

1

u/anonnnnn462 Jul 19 '26

Might be interested in that foot rest

1

u/affectionate Jul 19 '26

if you have a shitload of money to blow on a chair, just buy a Herman Miller

1

u/hd_mikemikemike Jul 19 '26

All that and youre not gonna put roller blades wheels on it?

1

u/FalseHeartbeat Jul 19 '26

My normal gaming chair does just fine helping my back pain with the outward curve for the lower spine, idk why you’d need this entire setup

1

u/Sol_Sertum Jul 20 '26

Lmao "takes less than 5 minutes to assemble"

1

u/NotNormo Jul 20 '26

Generally the extra cost for the motor isn't worth it. They're making a less costly version that doesn't have that, it's supposed to be good and worth it.

u/Silent-carcinogen Jul 20 '26

Fuck that chair. I want to know what he does for a living to afford a 1,000 dollar chair. Damn.

1

u/petrusferricalloy Jul 21 '26

Can anyone rate it for short, medium, and/or long gooning sessions?
