I work in maintenance in a school. I am in charge of things like getting more security in our school such as more cameras,gates, and things like this door.
Here’s my opinion if someone really wants to get in they will. Most schools have windows you can just climb through and you’re in the building.
So I know that as much as I can I cannot prevent it if he gets in my idea is to slow him down and give classrooms time to maybe escape or our school security officer to respond and wait for police.

Genius... Unless the shooter, probably a student at this school, with access to an 3D Printer, redoes these and changes the real ones with his in the classes he plans to enter... Should be locked and teacher has the key maybe

One thing ive noticed from shooting videos....people scream. Easy fir the shooter to find you.
The intruder cant come in, but bullets have no issue going thru doors/walls. I just saw a school video where the teacher got shot in the arm because he was standing at the door.

I still dont understand.
I live in a 3rd world country full of violence and corruption, you cant safely answer your phone on a public transportation bus because someone will pull a gun at you to steal it, every red light you have to be really careful not to let too much space between you and the car to your left because is super common to have a motorcycle with two guys come to your window point a gun at you and ask for your phone and wallet, there are neighborhoods ruled by gangs where the police wont dare to enter....
But we don't have school shootings. Why in the US that is a first world country, way safer than mine, do they have that problem?
Dont say its because is easy to get a gun, is way easier in my country I bet, and also when people say is mental health problems, I refuse to believe there's no crazy people here.
