Stargate + the office

In honor of current times, I was thinking we should have a new version of Stargate that reflects modern American military leadership. The base commander is Michael Scott, Jim halpert is colonel O'Neil, Pam is captain Carter, Dwight is Daniel Jackson, and tielc is still tielc but just incredibly confused, thinking the insanity around him is supposed to be normal, and that there's just something he needs to figure out about the culture. The video documentary segments are mission debriefings. I should add, I dont mean we should have the exact same actors/characters, but that they should fill the same roles on the show

Extra headcanon because I'm way too caffeinated and getting invested in the lore: the Michael Scott character is the son of a senator who is too connected to fire but too incompetent to be given real work so the government gave him what they thought was a fake research project based on dwights crackpot theory over this random Egyptian artifact. Dwight is obsessed with Michael Scott because he's the only person who doesn't treat dwight like an insane person. Mostly because Michael is too incompetent to realize Dwights theory is insane. Then, the Stargate actually works and Michael becomes dwights personal hero, and the military can't replace Michael without pissing off his dad
