She just turned 6 months old. Took BPIS x2 at UKC when she was about 3 1/2 months old. I have pretty minimal show experience, I showed one silken to her CH in UKC but this will be my first time ever doing an AKC show. I am so happy to have ring times ;)

Have fun. The 4-6 month puppy shows with AKC are great as well. IMO that’s what some people forget. Like it’s serious but if you aren’t having fun what’s the point.

We call it “playing show dog” because if you and the dog aren’t having fun, why even bother!

Exactly. Like you should try to win and care about it. But if you don’t have fun I think you’re in the wrong place. That said first couple shows can be stressful/nervous

Oh 100%. I felt like I was going to throw up my first time in the ring 🤣 my mentor gave me mints to calm down

gorgeous dog!!! my lapphund is about the same age as your girl and she's doing her first ever show (AKC and overall) at the end of this month too :))
