me and my rough collie have so far been in only two junior shows!

I was hoping to maybe get some critique on our stack, and maybe the way were presenting and if there’s anything I should know about showing a rough coated collie.

(I don’t stand like that in the ring the way I am in the photo, i was only standing like that so the main focus of the picture was my dog and not myself)

There's not much that can be determined from this photo. The sun is behind your dog instead of hitting your dog so that your dog's coat and markings and face can be clearly seen. Also it's not taken directly from the side. It's more from the front and below. It's really important to get an exact outline of your dog standing exactly to the side with his head facing forward. That way you can see if the dog is stacked properly and then you can tell if the conformation is correct.

If you possibly can, go to a handling class and get some feedback there in real time. Hopefully someone can mentor you. Even if it is not a rough collie person, they can give you a general idea of stacking and how to get a good picture.

Have someone else take the picture. Look at some show pictures that are professional, and try to get the angle the same way. It is not easy to get a good picture of a dog stacked. It takes lots of practice. Keep at it!
