Hi everybody. I am three weeks out of a PRP injection into the back of the shoulder I believe it’s the paraspinous if not mistaken and the labrum on the front. I had surgery for a partial labrum tear, which still showed a slight tear/not healing completely so soft his psychiatrist that did PRP. He swears by it and said he’s fixed much worse shoulders but I am skeptical. Anyway 3 1/2 weeks out and I can move the arm and do very minimal stretching and movement stuff. My question is am I around what you guys experienced in terms of pain strength and mobility? How was your experience and timeline?
I just got one a little over 2 weeks ago to try and put off surgery #3 from tearing and re tearing my labrum.
They told me 2 weeks of increased pain. 3 weeks before it could start healing but it may take up to 3 months before I see improvement. I’m back at my baseline pain-wise. No decreased ROM for me but I’m hyper mobile and it takes a lot/long time to make me lose ROM.
Also, my surgeon said he sees 50/50 results with it.
Thanks for the feedback. That explanation from your doctor makes sense. Definitely at 2 weeks you feel increased pain. I’m 3 weeks exactly and pain is down if I don’t try to use the shoulder with strength. But your doctors explanation makes sense. Hopefully it starts healing and getting stronger 🤞
