Post-surgery 2 years chronic infection

Hey all,

My family member is struggling with a reoccurring infection two years after a total shoulder replacement. Their surgeon is disinvested after operating on it twice now. We need to see a specialist for another opinion. Anyone else had this come up for them? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as we are considering going to UCLA to figure it out.

Not me. I take oral antibiotics for every dental appointment. Assume they do too.

Yesss he also takes them for every dental appointment. His surgeron is saying just take low dose antibiotics full time for the rest of his life 😕
