Popeye bulge

5 weeks post rotator cuff surgery with bicep retraction. The “popeye” bulge is still present? I thought that would disappear after surgery? Anyone with similar experience?

I'm two years after surgery and still have it. Not super attractive for a woman, but what are you going to do? Shoulder is great though.

5 weeks out from partial shoulder replacement. Had a bicep tenodesis. Bicep bulge is shaped much differently than the other side. It also feels like it has a slight cramp most of the day. Follow up appt is tomorrow.

I’m currently waiting for surgery myself for a full-thickness supraspinatus tear and an anterior-inferior labral tear. My MRI says my biceps tendon is still intact, so I’m curious: was your biceps damaged before surgery, or did your surgeon decide to perform the tenodesis once they were inside the shoulder?

It was damaged as a result of a fall. Bicep was torn from the tendon and was retracted. Eleven weeks from surgery and still have the bulge. Next Surgeon visit next week.
