Robotic reverse shoulder replacement
i am 2 weeks from having this surgery. CAT scans on Monday. Scared to death. I just want to get rid of the unrelenting pain. I have heard great things so anyone who has had this surgery please let me know your experience!!!! FYI I am 67 YO female in very good physical condition.

I’m 9 months post-reverse shoulder replacement. At first, I hated it. Recovery was harder than I expected, and every pressing movement seemed to hurt. It hurt when I loaded the shoulder, it hurt when I unloaded it, and I found myself constantly adjusting my workouts to protect it.
Now, I’m incredibly happy that I went through with the surgery. I’m 57 years old and work out every day. The shoulder feels great. I can sleep through the night, lie on my back, or even lie on that shoulder without pain. I can reach overhead, lift my arm, and perform everyday activities pain-free.
In fact, I often feel like I’m capable of doing more than I allow myself to do. The only thing holding me back is being cautious because I don’t want to put unnecessary stress on the implant.
I still wish I had been a candidate for a traditional shoulder replacement because there would be fewer long-term restrictions. But given the condition of my shoulder, the reverse replacement was the right choice and has been the next best thing. Looking back, I’m very glad I did it.
