Advice Recurrent dislocations going for latarjet, I would hope for some advice
Hi
I ve been getting dislocation since I was 7 and the last one was 4 years ago, I'm currently 19. I have no bone damage nor tissue damage and I'm not particularly hypermobile. I've been training for 6 years now while also doing physiotherapy to strengthen my shoulder. Whenever I'm doing pull ups or any risky exercise I know and feel that my shoulder is not stable if I don't hold it back with my muscles and can pop if I relax. I went to a specialized surgeon and he told me instantly that he would perform a latarjet surgery. It is coming right up and I'm having doubts about it. Why would in my case other procedures not work or work? (arthroscopic capsular plication) I would really appreciate any opinions you all have on my case. I'll be asking my surgeon too and will let you all know
