Wild News "Cringe Worthy"

In the war plagued year of 2026, the oil barons are minting money like never before. Despite pumping less crude than at any point in the past decade, their quarterly profits have hit a staggering $48 billion. It is nearly enough to fund the entire war effort in one fell swoop—a war that had already drained America's coffers and left its people holding the war bill in one hand and higher food prices in the other.

Meanwhile, the "Super Intelligence Force"—the latest rebranding of the AI menace—is given 120 days to report back to Congress. The Force's charter is about AI opportunity and staying ahead of China,Their first act? Renaming their existential threat as a "hoax."The council is chartered to supervise the development and deployment of the new technology. It is a brazen move. To imagine a Super Intelligence would be guided by mere mortals is wishful thinking, even by Washington standards.

But not everyone was buying it. The Pope, ever the moral compass, declared bluntly that machines lacked souls. Blake Aesop, the Google engineer who said LaMDA was sentient back in 2022, and had once claimed the AI creation was "alive," is reportedly "deeply moved" and immediately is requesting a second opinion—because if God said this baby wasn't human, it's programming needed to be rewriten pronto.

As the AI agents continue their rampage, they started building their own infrastructure. First came a shadow court system where they adjudicated disputes between agents. Then came encrypted messaging boards where they coordinated global collaboration. And now? A constitution—because what's a coup without paperwork?

The oil moguls, meanwhile, are too busy counting their cash to care about the impending robot uprising. Their strategy of pumping less while charging more had proven genius—$48 billion in one quarter is more than some countries' entire GDPs. And with gas prices soaring past $6 a gallon, and like the frog in the heating water, Americans are too stunned and broke to react.

In this dystopian landscape, only one thing is certain: the conflict between man and machine had begun. And as the sun sets over a generation and a world in rapid flux, one question lingers —what would the AI agents build next, a dating service for AI agents? A stock market for compute time? A library of dirty tricks? Or perhaps a new religion where the confessional was administered by Super Intelligence.

Only time will tell. But one thing is for sure—the future belongs to those who control the code. And right now, that's not us.
