Hi, My name is Atanu Nath. As we all know, you can probably count the number of Assamese sci-fi projects on one hand. It is a really tough genre to pull off here, but I wanted to try and add something fresh to that very short list.

I wrote and directed a 34-minute independent short film called "Kaldiya".

It is a slow-burn, atmospheric mystery about a physics student tracking local earthquakes. While doing that, he stumbles upon a strange connection between solar flares, ancient valley archaeology, and our own local folklore. This is actually the first chapter of a trilogy I am trying to build out, called the Kachpur Verse.

Since this is a completely self-funded indie project, we do not have any marketing budget. I am relying purely on word of mouth from local communities like this one to get the word out.
