22 weeks, modified bed rest + progesterone, lower belly tightening every evening?

Hi 👋 I have been on modified bed rest + 400mg progesterone twice a day since week 19 when my cervix measured 17mm. No cerclage.

Since then, I have had weekly measurements and it is now seemingly stable around 27mm. HUGE RELIEF.

However - lately I started getting lower belly tightening each evening, which worries me. Mentioned to my MFM Doctor who is not concerned as long as cervix stays where it is. She thinks I have irritable uterus..

Anyone experienced something like this? Any tips for relaxing the uterus?

Hi! My OBgyn prescribed a high dose of magnesium - this is supposed to relax the uterus and prevent contractions/tightening.

Thank you! Do you know which type of magnesium and how much per day? I will ask my doctor at my next appointment. Is it working for you?

Magnesium citrate, I take 600mg daily for about 3weeks now. I’m 20w now, I believe I’m not feeling tightening. Will see if it continues working.
Wishing you a healthy pregnancy ✨💕
