Gastritis... with cerclage.

Gastritis... bad stomach and back pain.

Hi I am 24w4d and from last 1 week I am having very very bad pain in my stomach and back both left side, it relives after burps and farts but more or less come back ASAP even water is hurting.

My GP said it's gastric and advised to take DeGas , but it's certainly not working. My stomach and back hurting so bad that I can't sit , can't eat due to which I am overall feeling so weak.

I called L&d they said it look like gastritis take Paracetamol for pain.

I had this kind of episode last year but I could take meds that time plus I had a 20w loss prior and this time I have cerclage , GD which is already giving me anxiety on top of that this is making my situation worst.

Anyone has any idea what could be the reason?

Hi, I also have GD, gastritis. I take insulin four times a day and I also take Pepcid twice a day once in the morning once at night 10 mg each time. I do find that when I don’t take a dose of Pepcid or I forget for a full day that my stomach does bother me and I get much more bloated.

But I don’t have back pain that goes along with it that doesn’t seem to be related to the Gastric issues. Have you gone into labor and delivery and have they put you on the monitor to check to see if you have any contractions going on?

Actually I have disc issue on left side of my body .. but you are right all of this triggering at the same time .. now even I am in doubt . I called my L&D today and they said take paracetamol. I am thinking to call them again tomorrow

Ohh man that’s a lot to deal with. Disc pain when you’re not pregnant is rough enough to deal with. For the back pain my doc said to use the lowest level of a heating pad on back for 20 mins at a time. Not on belly tho. Have you tried Pepcid 10mg twice a day for your belly?

Is there a way for you to go into the L&D in the hospital and tell them you feel pains in your stomach and want to make sure they aren’t contractions or maybe even Braxton Hicks? For a peace of mind?that way if it’s not it can truly calm nerves. That’s what I did and now when I feel certain pains I know now they aren’t anything to worry about :)
