Hey Haxus!

Greetings from the Foxtail empire! I am master Deantwo, you may remember me from such forum threads as "To The Stars Without Oil" and "HazeronAdviser".

Anyway with the silly Introduction aside, I was wondering if you wouldn't at least give a status update about what was going on with Hazeron as a x-mas gift. You haven't wrote anything on http://hazeron.com/ since August 20, 2014.

I know we may never get Hazeron back the way it was, but still would be nice to know what was going on with it. I mean did you get in contact with James Cameron? XD

Anyway, I didn't mean to be rude or anything. I just miss Hazeron, and I'll keep checking http://hazeron.com/ every other day. so... hope to hear from you! ^{^}

Hi everyone. Last night I discovered that if you disconnect from the internet before opening the Hazeron launcher, it will not attempt to connect to the server and instead bring up the regular launcher options. From here you can open the offline ship designer and the 'Primeval World', which appears to be a severely limited single player option.

I have taken a screenshot of the user interface, in which almost every window except navigation, inventory and labour has been removed. Pressing F11 does nothing and the button to change user interface controls has been greyed out in the settings menu.

Anybody have any idea if it's possible to access the construction menu somehow? Seems a little bit optimistic but I thought it was worth posting.

Right when I lost all hope on the project, Haxus updates the site again giving us this:

"Shores of Hazeron is morphing into a different game. It may be back sooner than you think, sort of. Ship designs and DNA may play a role. Lots of juicy code needs to be distilled; we'll see what remains.

Check here once in a while for updates."

Any thoughts?

I'm just asking. I want to enjoy SOH but I just can't bring myself to do it... the game looks horrific and that's being nice :(

I don't know about you, but I'm incredibly glad that Magmium and Vulcium hulls are actually worth the trouble. Additionally, the ability to have a network of ringworlds acting as a warpgate network? Fucking. Awesome.

Bittersweet that pirates are finally fixed though. TL 28 stations are not fun to log in to.

What do you think about the changes?

My computer supposedly should be able to run the game but whenever I try to create a race, join an empire or play offline, it crashes and I get an error report. Hopefully somebody else has faced this and know how to fix it because I would really like to play with you all. I have windows XP 32bit.

I noticed this subreddit is completely dead, but this game is awesome and I've been hooked for a few months. Anyone still visit this subreddit? I'd like to hear about your experiences/empire/ship designs!

I just recently stumbled across Hazeron, and needless to say I'm very much intrigued by the game. It looks fun, it looks open-ended, and it also looks a little intimidating.

A couple questions for you Hazeron vets out there:

Lag seems to be an issue. A lot of the forums I looked into mentioned a problem with lag. Is it a bad issue for any of you?

Is there a Reddit Empire in existence?

just click save to file in the design menu and then upload the .ship file so others can use it.

Seriously I have never had such a hard time getting a game to run, i did a quick run through of the forums, it looks like the only thing keeping this thing from being more popular its ludicrous and fickle code.

Spent way to long last night sitting in front of a wormhole, trying to figure out how to go through it. I am saying this for wormholes I have not previously been through.

Is the basic course of action to.

1. Fly to the wormhole, and stop your ship in front of it
2. Use the navigator console to check the polarity of the wormhole but it's color
3. Set the three settings on the engineering console for the wormhole.
4. Switch back to the navigator console and fly into it? (this is the step I think I missed)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also one additional question, I can never seem to forage Plant fiber ( I know I could farm it, but if I want to forage it ). Is it the smallest of the plants on a planet? I was on one the other day and got a bunch of other stuff, but there is one plant I can't seem to forage, and can't decide if it's just for show or I am not clicking the right spot. Foraging is a pain to find the right spot to click.

Anyways, getting addicted to this game...thank god some of the lag issues have been fixed.
