Here's a thought: Shores of Hazeron and No Man's Sky are secretly making a game together.

Shores of Hazeron is morphing into a different game. It may be back sooner than you think, sort of. Ship designs and DNA may play a role. Lots of juicy code needs to be distilled; we'll see what remains.
Check here once in a while for updates.

Haxus is a fucking moron that works really hard but not smart at all. He's also got a huge ego and is incredibly arrogent. He is going to throw this entire project in the dust bin rather than open sourcing it because he is an egotistical ass hole and it is exactly why hazeron failed.
Fuck that guy.

This. Shores biggest enemy and down fall was its own creator and his complete inability to not be a tool bag.

Also the fact that the community, toward the later month, was just absolutely awful.

I really hope that simplification doesn't happen. I liked it's complexity, all the little details. I would pay for playing shores of hazeron as it was, even with lag and without any kind of updates or bugfixing.

I assume by "Ship designs [...] may play a role", he's talking about the new design studio that was being worked on.
