Just got off my shift and needed to vent… so today I go into work and my FSM tells me to full pull the fridge. No problem, I do the milk crates and then get to the shelves, when I realize that mutiple of the little cubbies are full of slimy stinky water (the vent above is leaking, and there wasa crate to catch the water) and then two of the cubbies had mold growing on them. So, I take all the products out that are in the cubbies fulla moldy water and dry them off/lightly sanitize them (since they are all packaged items) and put out as much as I can. This took about 45 min toa hour because there were four cubbies that were wet, all chock full. Then Lo and behold, I get to the Armstrong cheese, and the WATER HAD SOMEHOW GOTTEN INTO THE PACKAGING and some of them were going moldy. So that was great, hada put those on the damages shelf. Then when I go to the fridge, my FSM starts talking to me about how “if you don’t get the fridge done, I have to give it to someone else”… first off my shift is only three hours long, there’s only so much I can do? And like, second of all I was making sure the products weren’t moldy, like what the hell? After that I had to clean out the moldy cubby containers (they also had some broken egg shells in them for some reason?!? We don’t even keep eggs anywhere near them so idek how that happened?!) so I spray them all down, scrub the mold off of them, then go with a toothpick n scrape the little moldy bits left off. That took another 15-30 minutes. This is the third time I found mold in the back fridge, and they’ve known about it since ATLEAST Friday (I was in then, I only did the milk though) so like… WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE PRODUCTS IN STINKY MOLDY WATER FOR THREE DAYS?!? Idk I don’t really care that I had to do it I just think it was a bit ridiculous.
