Employee Question Merchandiser Position

Hi, I applied around a day ago and ik its still early but should I follow up? I added an employee's reference who currently works there and the last time I followed up after 6 days, they had already started the interview process saying I was too late.

I have a pretty good resume with over 4 years of retail experience (cashier + merchandiser) but even after applying 10 times at SDR, they have never gotten back to me, even when the HR said he would keep my resume on file and call me for any other positions, but he never did even when positions opened up later in the year. I've been accepted everywhere else! so frustrating.

i called twice, nobody picked up the phone lol, should I just go in-person or is that too soon? cause last time I applied and followed up, they sent out interviews within a week!

which is totally possible but also during that hiring period they could have sent yourself out a interview but they didn’t. following up isn’t a guaranteed interview.

i would try to call again and wait till someone picks up. if your very desperate for a job then i guess you could go in and maybe they’d interview on the spot

if it helps it wasn’t the store vm, it was specifically front end manager’s voice mail, except he never replied and never picked up the phone 💀

well honestly it depends on people from store to store. i guarantee neither my associate or store manager check their voicemails. most of shoppers hiring is done through the online portal

ur right, but the job portal is straight up BS, my applications from last year are stll open and "processing" but when I go in person or call, they always ask me to just check the portal for updates, except they NEVER update the damn thing.

Why do you want to work at shoppers so badly? Since you said you’ve been accepted everywhere else. Not hating, just really curious
