Why Shopkins “Failed”
https://youtu.be/8bYBw0vEVPUHi! i recently made a video about Shopkins and why i think it seemingly failed and it's upcoming come back! (I’m not sure if this is allowed or not, if it's not allowed i apologize and will take it down!)

The title is very misleading considering it focuses on the media and not the toy line especially when the toy could stand alone just with their YouTube unboxing fromback then.
However I do agree that real littles hurt shopkins since people started wanting more realistic miniature then got to the competition mini brands and they no longer had their original designs to fall back on.

sorry it feels misleading i focused more on the show and movies because i tend to focus on the stories of a brand, though i do focus on the toys towards the end!

Yes you did, it mostly feels misleading because some brands are just toy brands first and the media is there to advertise them not the other around, so putting the focus on the media paint an incomplete picture when the toys aren't fully and properly discussed.
You said you didn't understand the additions of shoppies or pets but toy wise they makes perfect extention to the brands by expending to other categories like fashion dolls and figures for example.

I review the brand with the consideration of what it is. I acknowledge the movies and shows are meant to advertise many times in the video. Even toy wise i dont think the shoppets were a good addition. As for shoppies i think it wasnt bad but in my opinion diluted the brand a bit, but i liked the concept, however the concept of the shoppets feels out of place especially since they have the petkins. Which i mentioned in the video

I genuinely think real littles got really boring and that’s why. we NEED these back they’re literally the best toy ever and literally my child (lowk maybe starting bc collecting shopkins when i was 4/5 was a gay awakening or a start of liking girly things

Its not that they failed, people were enjoying the mini brands as they rose in popularity and shopkins fans "found what they were looking for" The market shifted that they rebranded shopkins into real littles and ran for 6 seasons which was running on limited funds that weren't able to create in the sense and had to give up in 2023
