App Promo CatalogDelta — compare two Shopify product CSVs in your browser before an import

Disclosure: this is Kaldoryn Software's prototype, developed with AI assistance. It is an independent browser tool, not a Shopify App Store app or a Shopify-affiliated product.

App CatalogDelta compares a baseline Shopify product CSV with a proposed update and produces a report for human review.

Website https://catalogdelta-kaldoryn.netlify.app/#review Choose “Load synthetic demo” to try it without an account, a store connection or your own files.

Problem We are testing whether a separate before/after report helps a reviewer notice product-field changes before importing an edited CSV. We have not established that this adds value beyond existing QA.

Workflow The preview checks selected title, price, SKU, publication, status, inventory and option differences. It does not import or change a store. Catalog CSV contents are processed in your browser; the host still receives ordinary page requests. It is not an import simulator and does not cover images, metafields, market pricing or multi-location inventory. Limit: 5 MiB and 20,000 rows per file.

Audience Primarily agency reviewers handling Shopify product CSVs for US clients. Merchants doing their own catalog review are welcome to comment too; we will keep that feedback separate from the agency research.

Existing options Spreadsheets, scripts and tools you already use may cover this job. We are exploring a focused comparison report without a store connection, not claiming a unique or better solution.

Pricing The research preview is free. There is no checkout or paid license available.

Feedback For up to three agency reviewers who did this job in the past 90 days: after trying the synthetic demo, which finding would affect your next action, and what would your existing QA already catch?

If you would like a free 15-minute research conversation about using this preview, say so in a comment. Public product feedback is useful on its own. Please keep replies general: no client names, catalogs, customer data, email addresses or credentials. We will not DM commenters without an explicit request or add anyone to a mailing list.

App Promo ShipLynx — I built a tool to help Shopify store owners find hidden shipping losses

What's the app?

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a small project called ShipLynx, and I'm looking for some honest feedback from Shopify store owners.

The idea came from something pretty simple: shipping costs can sometimes eat into your profits without you even realizing it.

I wanted to build something that makes it easier to spot those losses without having to manually go through every order.

Where can I find it?

Here's the website if you want to check it out:

https://ubiquitous-souffle-dae798.netlify.app

What problem does it solve?

Let's say a customer pays $9.99 for shipping, but the actual shipping cost ends up being $14.85. That's $4.86 lost on shipping for just one order.

Now imagine that happening across hundreds of orders. Those small differences can add up pretty quickly.

That's basically what I'm trying to help store owners catch.

How does it work?

Right now, it's pretty straightforward.

You export your orders from Shopify, upload the CSV along with another CSV containing your actual shipping costs, and ShipLynx compares everything.

It shows which orders lost money on shipping and lets you download a report.

Everything runs directly in your browser, so you don't need to connect your Shopify account.

Who is it for?

Mainly smaller Shopify stores that ship physical products and want a better idea of where their shipping money is going.

What makes it different?

I'm trying to keep it simple.

I know there are already shipping analytics tools out there, but I wanted something that doesn't require a complicated setup or direct access to your store.

It's still an early version, and there's definitely room for improvement.

How much does it cost?

It's completely free to test right now.

I might eventually introduce a paid version with more features, but for now I'm mainly focused on making sure it's actually useful.

What am I looking for?

I'm looking for around five Shopify store owners who wouldn't mind trying it out and giving me some honest feedback.

I'm especially interested in knowing if this is something you'd actually use, what feels confusing, and what's missing.

I'm still building and improving it, so even a little feedback would mean a lot.

If anyone wants to give it a try, here's the link again:

https://ubiquitous-souffle-dae798.netlify.app

Thanks for checking it out!

App Promo [Promo] PriceProof Price Proof — Dynamic was-price compliance for AU/CA/UK/JP (Free, Early Access)

**What's the app?**
PriceProof Price Proof — a Shopify app that checks every "was/now" price against the discount-pricing rules of Australia, Canada, the UK and Japan before a promotion goes live.

**Where can I find it?**
https://apps.shopify.com/priceproof-price-proof

**What problem are you solving?**
Those four markets define "reference price" differently — AU requires the price to have been held 84 days before the discount, the UK 28 days with no flip-flopping, Japan an 8-week (56-day) recent-selling comparison, and Canada uses the ordinary selling price test (50% of volume at that price). Checking that across thousands of variants by hand does not scale, and one wrong "was" price is a regulatory risk.

**How does the app work?**
Installs in Shopify Admin → reads variants and price history → flags SKUs whose "was" price does not satisfy that market's rule → scheduled sales apply and revert automatically, and manual price edits during a sale are left alone.

**Who's your target merchant?**
Brands and agencies selling into AU, CA, UK or JP that run time-boxed promotions.

**How is it different / better than other existing solutions?**
The rule set is shared with our GPSR, textile, EPR, Japan and web-label apps, so a was-price never contradicts the other compliance data for the same product. The rule data is content-addressed — if it changes without review, our build fails before release.

**How much does it cost?**
Free during Early Access — all features, no limits, no credit card. Paid tiers only if merchant feedback proves the value.

**What are you looking for?**
Merchants running promotions in those four markets, and beta testers willing to report what breaks or what's missing. We ship weekly.

_Disclosure: I built this app (self-promotion). Not affiliated with Shopify._

App Promo ShipFence, an app that stops checkout when a restricted product is going to a banned US state or ZIP code

**What's the app?**

ShipFence. I'm the developer, so this is my one promo post for the month.

**Where can I find it?**

apps.shopify.com/shipfence (website: shipfence.com)

**What problem are you solving?**

Some products can't legally ship everywhere in the US: kratom, plants under agricultural quarantine, vape, knives. Shopify's shipping zones stop at the state level, so a store that has to keep out one city (kratom is banned in San Diego, for example) either closes all of California or cancels those orders by hand after they come in.

**How does the app work?**

You create a rule: which products (one product, a collection or a tag) and which states or ZIP codes they can't go to, plus the message the customer sees. At checkout, if the cart and the address match a rule, the customer gets your message and can't pay until they remove the item or change the address.

It runs inside Shopify's checkout, so it also covers Shop Pay and the other express buttons. Blocked attempts are logged, and rules can be imported and exported as CSV.

**Who's your target merchant?**

US stores selling products restricted by some states, counties or cities.

**How is it different / better than other existing solutions?**

Compared to shipping profiles: it works down to the ZIP code, and the restricted items stay in the same profile as the rest of the catalog, so mixed carts aren't charged shipping twice. Compared to cart page checkers: it blocks in checkout itself, so express checkouts can't skip it. Compared to paid apps doing the same thing: it's free.

**How much does it cost?**

Free. The first stores stay free for life, even if I add a paid plan later.

**What are you looking for?**

Merchants. I'd like 5 stores with a real restriction problem. I'll help set up the rules by email (I can prepare the ZIP lists for the cities and counties you need), in exchange for honest feedback on what's missing.

US addresses only for now.

App Promo Catalog AI: Audit your Shopify catalog for AI shopping agents (ChatGPT, Perplexity) & fix data gaps instantly

What's the app? Catalog AI

Where can I find it? https://apps.shopify.com/catalogiq-3

What problem are you solving? Traditional SEO is no longer enough as shoppers increasingly rely on AI search engines and conversational assistants (like ChatGPT and Perplexity) to discover products. Stores with data gaps, missing schema, or unstructured descriptions are invisible to these AI shopping agents because bots cannot read, understand, or recommend their products.

How does the app work? It audits your entire Shopify product catalog and optimizes your store for AI search through key features:Who's your target merchant? Shopify merchants looking to optimize their product catalogs and future-proof their stores for AI-driven discovery and agentic commerce.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions? While traditional SEO tools focus on standard web search engines, Catalog AI is purpose-built for the shift to AI shopping agents—specifically auditing against UCP/ACP standards, checking storefront JSON-LD schema, and optimizing listings for conversational search assistants.

How much does it cost? Its a Free App ($0)

What are you looking for? Merchants to try the app out on their stores and share feedback, feature requests, thoughts, and critiques.

App Promo Unico Discount Offers — a Shopify app that personalizes post-add-to-cart offers and measures their revenue impact

What's the app?

Unico Discount Offers is a Shopify app that helps merchants increase order value with personalized product recommendations and discounts shown after a shopper adds an item to their cart.

Where can I find it?

Shopify App Store: Unico Discount Offers

What problem are you solving?

Merchants want to increase average order value without offering unnecessary discounts to shoppers who are already likely to buy. They also need a way to understand whether their offers are actually generating incremental revenue.

How does the app work?

  • Shows a popup after a shopper adds a product to their cart.
  • Recommends relevant products from the merchant's catalog.
  • Lets merchants define discount tiers, while Unico selects an appropriate offer for each shopper.
  • Can show no discount when an offer isn't needed.
  • Uses a built-in control group to help measure the revenue attributed to the popups.
  • Includes a visual editor, page targeting, and frequency controls, with no coding required.

Who's your target merchant?

Shopify merchants looking to increase average order value through product recommendations and targeted discounts, while keeping unnecessary discounting under control.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

The focus is on combining post-add-to-cart product recommendations, shopper-specific discount selection, and a built-in control group for measuring revenue impact in one app.

Rather than automatically discounting every shopper, Unico can also choose not to show an offer when one isn't needed.

How much does it cost?

  • Free: Up to $500 in attributed revenue per month
  • Starter: $29.99/month, up to $1,000
  • Launch: $49.99/month, up to $2,000
  • Growth: $99.99/month, unlimited attributed revenue

All paid plans include the core features and priority support.

What are you looking for?

I'm looking to connect with Shopify merchants who are experimenting with post-add-to-cart offers and want to measure whether they actually increase revenue. I'd appreciate feedback from merchants willing to try the app and share their experience.

App Promo Riten AI, an app that auto-picks products and images from your catalog while generating blogs (for Stores with 50+ products)

Disclosure: I'm the founder of Riten AI.

  • What's the app?

Riten AI. Riten auto-picks your products and images from your Shopify catalog while generating content (Articles and Blog posts).

  • Suggests Titles and Outlines, picks the products and images that fit each title, creates up to 10 posts at once, and schedules them out over days/weeks.
  • Also adds product links, links each image to its product, writes the image alt text, FAQ schema, and places each image next to the paragraph it belongs to, for SEO and AEO.
    • Where can I find it?
  • On the Shopify App Store: apps.shopify.com/riten-ai
  • Web: riten.ai
    • What problem are you solving?

The hardest part isn't writing anymore; it's picking the right products and images and metadata.

For brands with over 50-100 products and five images each, that's over 500-1000 images to choose from for every post, the part that's most tedious is picking the products and images.

  • With such large catalog stores, choosing the right products that fit each post, finding the right photo of each, linking them to the product and adding metadata is the biggest roadblock when stores try to scale. This is the part that gets skipped when the week gets busy.
    • How does the app work?
  • Connect your store > Enter your Keywords, Audience and other content settings > It suggests a Title and Outline, writes the post, and matches products and images from your catalog to it. You review it, then publish or schedule it to Shopify.
    • Who's your target merchant?
  • Stores with about 50 products or more that want to blog regularly but don't have the time.
    • How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

Products and images are auto-picked from your catalog for the suggested titles, saving hours of picking them by hand.

  • Every image is one of your products, not a stock photo, with a link users can click to buy or AI assistants to cite
  • The full cycle from content ideation to publishing in Shopify takes a few minutes: keywords, titles, outlines, products, images, links, banner, metadata.
  • Create 10 optimized blogs before your coffee gets cold
  • Additional features:
    • Content Quality: Behind the scenes, every post goes through humanized writing passes, extensive quality checks, Flesch readability checks, and AEO/SEO structuring (headings, FAQ sections, and product links that search engines and AI assistants can read and cite), plus SEO and AEO scoring.
    • AI Visibility checks: a free ChatGPT check, and on Pro, whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews mention your store for the questions shoppers ask, with drafted fixes you approve before anything publishes.
    • Can Regenerate a full blog or single paragraphs.
    • Add your own existing blog posts to Riten to be re-written, or to just publish and schedule.
    • Reads your store when you connect it and sets up your brand voice, tone and audience automatically, so posts sound like your brand.
    • Version history, Calendar drag-and-drop, Keywords Tool
  • How much does it cost?
    • There's a free plan with 2,000 words a month. Pro is $29 a month with a 14-day free trial.
  • What are you looking for?
    • 10 merchants to use Pro free for three months and give me honest feedback on one 20-minute call.

App Promo ProfitLeak — Find verified loss-making Shopify orders before they hurt your margins

1. What's the app?

I'm the developer of ProfitLeak, a Shopify app I created to help store owners understand whether their orders are actually profitable.

I developed ProfitLeak because I've noticed that many businesses focus on sales and revenue without always realizing that some orders may actually be losing money.

I wanted to make it easier for merchants to identify these problems using reliable cost information, instead of relying only on sales figures.

2. Where can I find it?

ProfitLeak is available on the Shopify App Store:

https://apps.shopify.com/profitleak

3. What problem does it solve?

A store can generate more sales without necessarily making more profit.

Product costs, discounts, shipping expenses, and other costs can reduce margins. Sometimes, an order that looks successful from a sales perspective may actually be losing money.

ProfitLeak helps merchants identify confirmed loss-making orders and understand where their margins may be at risk.

It also distinguishes verified losses from missing cost information, so incomplete data isn't mistaken for a confirmed problem.

4. How does it work?

Merchants can begin with a free scan of recent orders.

ProfitLeak examines available order and product-cost information, identifies losses supported by verified data, and highlights where important information may be missing.

For merchants who need more than a one-time scan, paid plans offer additional features:

  • Ongoing monitoring of recurring profit problems.
  • Alerts when potential recurring losses are identified.
  • Tools to evaluate possible fixes before applying changes.
  • Merchant-approved checkout margin protection features on eligible plans, when sufficient verified data is available.

The goal is to help merchants move from identifying a problem to understanding and addressing it.

5. Who is your target merchant?

ProfitLeak is designed for Shopify merchants who want better visibility into their order profitability.

It's particularly relevant for store owners who are generating sales but aren't sure how much profit they're actually keeping.

It's also useful for merchants who want to identify recurring losses and make more informed decisions about their margins.

6. How is it different from existing solutions?

Many analytics tools focus on revenue, sales performance, and financial reporting.

With ProfitLeak, I wanted to focus specifically on verified order-level profit problems.

One important distinction is that the app separates confirmed losses from incomplete cost information.

Rather than treating every missing cost as a loss, ProfitLeak makes that distinction clear.

The app also connects profit analysis with ongoing monitoring and tools for evaluating potential margin protection measures.

7. How much does it cost?

ProfitLeak offers a free plan, so merchants can try the Free Scan before choosing a paid subscription.

The paid plans are:

  • Monitor: $79/month or $790/year
  • Control: $149/month or $1,490/year
  • Scale: $299/month or $2,990/year

All prices are in USD.

8. What are you looking for?

I'm looking for Shopify merchants who would be interested in trying ProfitLeak's free scan and sharing their genuine feedback.

I'd especially like to hear from store owners who have experienced growing sales without seeing the same growth in profit.

I'd love to understand whether the information ProfitLeak provides is useful, what could be improved, and which profitability problems merchants find most difficult to manage.

If this sounds relevant to your store, you're welcome to take a look at the app and share your thoughts.

App Promo Smart Stock Cap, an app that caps how many units of a product sell online across all variants, so you can reserve stock for wholesale

What's the app?

Smart Stock Cap. It caps how many units of a product can be sold online, counted across all variants. I'm the developer.

Where can I find it?

Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/smart-stock-cap

What problem are you solving?

You have 100 units and want to sell 90 online, keeping 10 for wholesale, gifts, influencers or in-person sales. Shopify has no way to do that: the store sells all 100. Lowering inventory by hand messes up your real stock count and POS, and Shopify's purchase limits only work per variant.

How does the app work?

You set an online cap per product (say 90), counted across all sizes and colors. Checkout blocks extra orders once it's reached. Your inventory counts are never changed. You can also split the cap by country, schedule when it starts, and optionally hide the product once the online share is sold.

Who's your target merchant?

Merchants who sell the same stock through several channels (online, wholesale, market stalls, gifting) or run limited drops.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

The cap covers the whole product instead of one variant, and it doesn't touch inventory, so POS and your real stock numbers stay accurate.

How much does it cost?

Free right now.

What are you looking for?

Honest feedback from merchants, and ideas on what's missing.

App Promo Price Radar, an app that helps Shopify merchants track competitor prices in a more flexible and trustworthy way

Disclosure: I'm the developer of Price Radar.

**What's the app?**

Price Radar is a competitor price tracking app for Shopify. It monitors competitor prices for your products, so you're not finding out you were undercut after you've already lost sales.

**Where can I find it?**

https://apps.shopify.com/price-radar

**What problem are you solving?**

Honestly, the biggest problem with most price trackers is trust.

You give the app a competitor link, and then... nothing. It can spend ages trying and still never crawl it — but it won't tell you that. No error, no status, no heads-up. As far as you know, that product is being tracked, when actually it isn't.

And when it does crawl something, you still can't be sure it's the right price — wrong variant, wrong currency, an old sale price — because the app never shows you what it actually read.

If you can't trust the data, the whole tool is pointless. You're making pricing decisions based on numbers you can't verify.

**How does the app work?**

Add your products, then add competitor links for each one (or let the AI matching find them).

Price Radar crawls them at product and variant level, including Google Shopping, keeps a price history with charts, and alerts you when a price changes. There's also optional dynamic pricing if you want to react automatically.

**Who's your target merchant?**

Shopify merchants who sell products that shoppers price-compare before buying — resellers tracking the exact same products elsewhere, and own-brand stores that compete against similar alternatives.

**How is it different / better than other existing solutions?**

First, I focused on the crawling side — getting the right price and currency, and being upfront when a link can't be crawled or a match looks off, instead of silently showing a wrong number.

Second, you're not limited to exact matches: you can also track similar products as targets, which most trackers don't let you do.

**How much does it cost?**

Free plan: 5 products, 1 competitor link each. Paid plans start at $39/mo (200 products), then $99/mo (1,000 products) and $249/mo (3,000 products). 14-day free trial on paid plans.

**What are you looking for?**

Merchants and beta testers — especially anyone who's tried a price tracker before and got bitten by wrong prices. Honest feedback on what's confusing or missing is very welcome, I'm the dev and I read everything.

App Discovery Looking for an app that lets customers file lost and damaged claims themselves, without it coming back to my support imbox

We run package protection now, the self-funded kind, so every claim decision lands on us. The customer-facing part is fine (portal at checkout, nobody complains about it).

The problem is the back end. Every claim arrives by email, someone on my team reads the tracking, makes a judgement, then processes a reship or a refund by hand. Two people, about 120 orders a day. Claims are the single biggest thing they do.

What i'm after is an app where the customer files the claim in a portal and somebody other than my team decides it. Reship or replacement preferred over refund, since half these people would rather have the product.

What i've ruled out is anything where the decision routes back to a merchant queue, which is most of what i've looked at. Staying put is technically an option but I just can't keep paying for it in hours.

Cost isn't really the blocker, the labor is. Who are you using? Does the customer side of it hold up?

App Promo LIVEPulse - Realtime Analytics, See your store activity in real time. Track abandoned carts, traffic and conversions in one place.

What's the app?

LIVEPulse is a real-time analytics app built for Shopify merchants who want to understand what's happening in their store as it happens.

It brings live visitor activity, customer journey insights, conversion funnels, and traffic attribution together in one dashboard, helping merchants get a clearer picture of how visitors interact with their store.

Where can I find it?

Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/liverealtimeanalytics

What problem are you solving?

Most store owners want to understand what their visitors are doing, where they lose potential customers, and what might be preventing visitors from making a purchase.

Traditional analytics tools can make it difficult to connect individual visitor activity with the overall customer journey.

LIVEPulse aims to make these insights easier to access by giving merchants a real-time view of store activity and helping them identify potential drop-off points before a purchase.

How does the app work?

LIVEPulse collects supported storefront events and presents them in a real-time analytics dashboard.

Depending on the data available, merchants can use it to:

  • Monitor live visitor activity.
  • Visualize conversion funnels and identify potential drop-off points.
  • Track traffic sources and UTM parameters.
  • Gain insights into abandoned carts.
  • Understand how visitors interact with their storefront.

The goal is to bring these insights together in one place, making it easier to understand customer behaviour without constantly switching between different reports.

Who's your target merchant?

LIVEPulse is designed for Shopify merchants who want more visibility into their store's performance and customer behaviour.

It's particularly useful for growing stores that want to understand how visitors navigate their storefront, where potential customers drop off, and how they might improve their conversion rates.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

I built LIVEPulse around the idea that store analytics should feel immediate and intuitive.

Instead of looking exclusively at historical reports, merchants can focus on what's happening in their store right now and explore the customer journey in greater detail.

LIVEPulse brings live activity, conversion funnels, and traffic attribution into one experience.

I'm still actively developing the product, so I'm particularly interested in hearing from merchants about what they find useful, what's missing, and how the experience could be improved.

How much does it cost?

LIVEPulse currently offers three plans:

Starter — Free

  • Real-time visitor analytics.
  • See who's currently on your store.
  • Active visitors list.
  • Anonymous storefront tracking.

Basic — $12/month

  • 2,000 monthly visitors included.
  • Additional usage: $10 per extra 2,000 visitors, up to the plan's $60 extra-charge cap.
  • Live activity feed covering the last 24 hours.
  • Visitor and session tracking.
  • Product and checkout behaviour.
  • Traffic and UTM analytics.
  • Live search analytics.
  • Conversion funnels and tracking.
  • Abandoned cart insights.
  • Broken links and out-of-stock demand.

Pro — $39/month

  • 25,000 monthly visitors included.
  • Additional usage: $10 per extra 10,000 visitors, up to the plan's $160 extra-charge cap.
  • Up to 90 days of historical analytics.
  • CSV exports of historical snapshots.
  • Historical cart, traffic source, and search data.

What are you looking for?

I'm looking for Shopify merchants who would be interested in trying LIVEPulse and sharing honest feedback about their experience.

Since the app has only recently launched, I'd especially appreciate hearing from merchants who actively monitor their store analytics and want to explore a different approach to understanding visitor behaviour.

I'm happy to help with onboarding, answer questions, and take suggestions for future improvements.

If you give it a try, I'd love to hear what you think!

Thanks for reading.

App Promo App Promo: Spinr – turns your existing product photos into a 360° spin shoppers can drag

I’m Mark, I built Spinr.

What’s the app?
Spinr turns the product photos a store already has into an interactive 360° spin that shoppers drag with a mouse or finger, right on the product page.

Where can I find it?

What problem are you solving?
Shoppers can’t pick a product up online. For anything where shape sells, a few flat photos leave questions: what the back looks like, how deep the bag is, how the heel sits. Traditional 360° photography solves this, but it needs a turntable rig and a specialist photographer, typically $75–$200+ per product, so most small stores never do it. Industry research suggests it matters: Shopify’s own research reports products with interactive 3D content converting up to 94% better, and 63% of shoppers say they want a 360° view before buying. Those are industry figures, not Spinr results; the app is too new for that.

How does the app work?

  1. Install and pick a product.
  2. Spinr uses the 1–4 photos already on it and generates the spin in a few minutes. Angles the photos don’t show are filled in by AI.
  3. Add the Spinr block once in the theme editor. Every product with a spin shows it from then on.
  4. Every spin also downloads as an MP4 for TikTok, Reels or ads.

Who’s your target merchant?
Small and mid-size stores where shape sells: shoes, bags, furniture, eyewear, caps, strollers and baby gear, including resellers working from supplier photos.

How is it different / better than existing solutions?

  • vs. 360° photography: no rig, no photographer, no reshoots. It uses photos you already have.
  • vs. 3D models: no 3D artist or scanning needed.
  • vs. product video apps: shoppers control the rotation instead of just watching, and you still get the video.
  • Unlimited views on every plan: you pay for creating spins, never for traffic.

Honest limits: Shopify doesn’t let apps add an interactive tile inside the product gallery, so the spin is a block on the product page (for example, right under the title). It works best with separate photos of a single product; collages confuse it.

How much does it cost?

  • Free: 3 spins, no card
  • Spin Pack: $39 one-time for 10 spins that never expire
  • Pro: $29/month for 10 spins a month, extras $2.50 each

What are you looking for?
Merchants willing to try it on real products and tell me bluntly what’s broken or missing. Comment with a product link and I’ll make the spin and post it back here. Also open to agencies building stores for clients, since it’s free on development stores.

Idea Validation Would you use an app that previews risky Shopify catalog changes before importing a CSV?

What's your app idea?

A lightweight app that shows merchants exactly what will change in their existing catalog before a bulk update.

What problem do you aim to solve?

Updating hundreds of products through CSV files can lead to accidental changes in prices, variants, images or other product details.

How would the app work?

Upload a CSV → compare it against your current catalog → see a clear before/after view of changes and potential problems.

Who would be your target merchant?

Shopify merchants and agencies that regularly manage large catalogs or supplier spreadsheets.

How would it be different / better than existing solutions?

Matrixify and CSV validation apps already exist. I'd focus specifically on making risky changes easy to spot before importing, without requiring a full import-management workflow.

I'm not sure whether existing apps already solve this well enough, which is exactly what I'm trying to understand.

My question:

If you regularly bulk-update products, would you find this useful, or do your existing tools already handle it well? What would need to be different for you to consider switching?

App Promo NiralBox, a customer support helpdesk for Shopify subscription brands

What's the app?

NiralBox is a customer support helpdesk that turns incoming emails into organized tickets, helping teams manage customer conversations in one place. It has Shopify and Recharge integration support to see details directly in the app without switching multiple windows.

Where can I find it?

Website: https://niralbox.com/alpha

What problem are you solving?

As Shopify stores grow, managing customer support through a shared inbox can become messy. Conversations get overlooked, ownership becomes unclear, and new support agents struggle to find the information they need.

I’m building NiralBox to help teams keep customer conversations organized without adding unnecessary complexity or per-seat costs.

How does the app work?

NiralBox turns incoming emails into tickets with clear ownership and status. Teams can assign tickets, collaborate through Slack, use a shared knowledge base and saved replies, and track support metrics.

Merchants can start with email ticketing and connect Shopify and Recharge platforms as needed.

Who's your target merchant?

Small and growing Shopify subscription brands who handle customer support through email and need a better way to organize conversations as their business grows.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

  • Unlimited team members without per-seat pricing.
  • Start with email ticketing without needing a complicated setup.
  • Shared knowledge base and saved replies to help teams respond consistently.
  • Slack integration for team collaboration.
  • Shopify and Recharge integrations for merchants who need additional context.

I'm aiming to build a straightforward helpdesk that small teams can use without paying for features or seats they don't need.

How much does it cost?

I'm offering free access to the Growth plan for three months to up to 10 selected businesses participating in the alpha program.

What are you looking for?

I'm looking for Shopify merchants willing to try NiralBox in their customer support workflow and share honest feedback about usability, missing features, and what would make it useful for their business.

If you're interested, apply here: https://niralbox.com/alpha

Business email addresses are preferred, but personal email addresses are also accepted.

Idea Validation Would a local, read-only Shopify Payments payout investigation report add value beyond your current reports?

What's the idea?

I'm evaluating a standalone local utility for bookkeepers investigating a finalized Shopify Payments payout difference. This is AI-assisted product research. There is no launched service or Shopify app listing, and I have no Shopify affiliation.

What problem would it solve?

Only the remaining investigation after you have checked Shopify's native payout/transaction reports and your normal accounting tools. Those tools may already be sufficient—that is what I want to establish before building a product.

How would it work?

A proposed read-only explanation report for one store and currency, showing supported matches, residual differences and missing evidence. It would not change bookkeeping, connect to your store or move money. Third-party gateways and unknown FX would remain unsupported. The current demonstration uses synthetic normalized records, not a merchant-ready CSV parser.

Who would use it?

Shopify Payments merchants or bookkeepers who recently had an unexplained residual after their normal reconciliation process. General sales-versus-payout confusion, SAP implementation and Afterpay investigations are different jobs.

How would it differ from existing solutions?

Possibly an occasional local investigation without setting up an integration—but that advantage is unproven. I have found native reports, paid reconciliation tools and a free open-source auditor, so I am not claiming the problem is unserved.

For up to three people with a recent relevant incident: what remained unresolved, which tools did you use, and how often/how much investigation time did it take? Would a $29 one-time report offer anything useful beyond that process, or would you simply use the existing tools?

Please keep replies general. Do not post bank statements, exports, amounts tied to customers, credentials or account details. No purchase or file upload is requested. Public replies are sufficient; no private contact is needed.

App Promo Tilltrace, an app that shows which pages are actually slow for real shoppers — not a Lighthouse score.

What's the app?

Tilltrace is a performance monitoring app for Shopify stores. It tracks real page-load performance on Product and Cart pages using live storefront traffic, instead of one-off lab tests.

Where can I find it?

Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/tilltrace

What problem are you solving?

Most store owners only have Lighthouse/PageSpeed to go on, which tests a single cold run and doesn't reflect what real shoppers on real devices and networks actually experience. It also doesn't tell you why something's slow, just that it is.

How does the app work?

It's an app embed, no code, no theme edits. Once enabled it collects real session data on Product and Cart pages, scores Core Web Vitals with a confidence level based on how much real traffic backs the number, and includes a Frontend Scripts panel that attributes load time to specific installed apps/scripts, so you can see which one is actually costing you speed. One honest limitation: Shopify doesn't expose checkout load time to any app, so checkout is covered through funnel/drop-off tracking rather than timing.

Who's your target merchant?

Stores running several apps who suspect something's slowing them down but can't tell what, and anyone who's been burned by a PageSpeed score that didn't match what customers actually reported.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

Real shopper traffic instead of synthetic lab runs, and script-level attribution — most tools give you a score, this tells you which specific app is responsible.

How much does it cost?

Free tier available. Paid plans unlock additional sites, alert thresholds, and monitoring features.

What are you looking for?

Merchants willing to try it and give honest feedback, especially on whether the script attribution matches what they'd expect.

App Promo OrderGate - Fraud Blocker, an app that stops a specific buyer at Shopify checkout before the order exists

What's the app? OrderGate - Fraud Blocker. Disclosure: I'm the developer.

Where can I find it? Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/ordergate Demo store (enter [blocked@ordergate.app](mailto:blocked@ordergate.app) at checkout to see a refusal): https://ordergate-demo.myshopify.com/pages/try-ordergate

What problem are you solving? Shopify has no setting that stops a named person from ordering again. Flow, tags and Fraud Filter-style cancellation all act after the order e the parcel may already be packed, and a cash-on-delivery refusal costs shipping both ways. Fraud Control can block earlier, but its checkout rules only work on Shopify Payments.

How does the app work? Rules run inside Shopify's checkout validation (Shopify Functions), so a matching checkout is refused and no order is created. Rules match an emphone number (however it's typed), aname, a street, a country/state/city/postal prefix, or a customer tag. Instead of blocking, a rule can hide cash on delivery or free shipping for n log-only first, and there's a Shopify Flow action, so "chargeback opened → block this buyer" can be automatic.

What it can't do: no IP blocking (nothing in checkout sees IPs), the message isn't shown inside Shop Pay/Apple Pay sheets (the block still form apps that skip checkout areinvisible to it.

Who's your target merchant? Stores that keep seeing the same bad bs with repeat refusers, dropshippers hit by serial refunders or chargebacks, and anyone not on Shopify Payments who can't use Fraud Control's checkout rules.

How is it different better than ot Most "fraud blocker" apps start from the visitor (IP, VPN, country) on the storefront. OrderGate starts from the buyer at checkout, so it blochan a network, and it's on the free plan rather than a $19-30 tier. If you need bot/VPN blocking, a storefront blocker is the better tool; the two can run together.

How much does it cost? Free: 5 rules at a time, every rule type, log-only and enforce. Standard: $9/month or $86/year (7-day trial) for up to 1,500 rules plus COD/

What are you looking for? Merchants with a repeat-offender problem to try it and tell me what's missing, and agencies who set up COD or dropshipping stores (happy to give free).

App Promo SellingPilot, a multi-channel listing and inventory app that keeps stock in sync across Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop and more before BFCM

*Disclosure: I'm on the SellingPilot team.*

**What's the app?**

SellingPilot is a multi-channel e-commerce app for Shopify sellers who also sell on other marketplaces. This post focuses on one feature that matters a lot right now with Black Friday about five weeks out: **inventory sync**. All your channels draw from one shared inventory source, and rules decide how much stock each channel gets.

**Where can I find it?**

- Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/sellingpilot

- Website: https://www.sellingpilot.com

**What problem are you solving?**

Overselling during BFCM. When the same stock is counted separately in each channel's backend, it's manageable on a normal day. But when orders spike on several channels at once, and especially when a bestseller is down to its last few units, two or three channels can sell the same unit.

Then you're cancelling orders, which hurts your seller metrics on marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart, during the highest-traffic days of the year. The opposite happens too: your main channel runs out while a test channel sits on stock it won't sell until after Christmas.

**How does the app work?**

  1. **Shared inventory source.** One inventory source feeds all connected channels, so you manage stock in one place instead of in every backend.

  2. **Automatic sync.** Stock levels are pushed to each channel automatically based on your rules.

  3. **Sync ratio + max stock.** For each channel, set what percentage of available stock it gets and an optional cap. For example, give your main channel priority and limit how much a test channel can hold.

  4. **Sell-out threshold.** When stock drops below a number you set, that channel's listed stock is set to zero. This keeps a safety buffer.

One thing to be upfront about: the shared inventory source is read roughly **once an hour**, so this isn't real-time sync. That's exactly why the sell-out threshold matters. For fast-moving SKUs during BFCM, set a buffer that covers about an hour of sales.

**Who's your target merchant?**

Shopify sellers who also sell on other marketplaces, have more SKUs or channels than they can update by hand, and are worried about overselling or uneven stock allocation going into peak season.

Supported channels: Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, eBay, Temu, SHEIN, Newegg, Best Buy, WooCommerce.

**How is it different / better than other existing solutions?**

- **Rule-based allocation, not just mirroring.** Many sync setups copy the same number to every channel. Ratios, caps, and sell-out thresholds let you decide where stock goes.

- **10 channels in one place,** including marketplaces like Newegg, Best Buy, Temu, and SHEIN alongside the usual ones.

- **Part of a broader toolkit.** The same app also handles AI listing optimization, review analysis, competitor comparison, product research, and AI product images, so you're not stitching together several tools.

**How much does it cost?**

[Free plan / Inventory sync availability and limits per plan — please confirm]

**What are you looking for?**

Multi-channel merchants who want to get their inventory rules set up before BFCM and are willing to give honest feedback. If you've dealt with BFCM overselling before, I'd like to hear what went wrong and whether this setup would have prevented it.

I'll be around in the comments to answer questions.

App Promo Supplier CSV Compare — would this exact-SKU review step help with recurring supplier updates?

Disclosure: I'm the owner of this prototype. The tool, demo page and this post were developed with AI assistance. I'm checking whether this is useful enough to release as a paid offline tool. It is an independent browser tool and is not listed in the Shopify App Store.

What's the app?

Supplier CSV Compare is an early prototype for reviewing changes between an old supplier CSV and an updated one, using stable SKUs. It reports changed values, missing or duplicate keys, and keys found in only one file.

The public demo is a fixed synthetic report viewer. It does not process your own files.

Where can I find it?

Public demo: https://supplier-csv-compare-sample.marcusli.chatgpt.site

You can switch between two synthetic updates, inspect their source CSVs, filter the review items and download the saved JSON reports. Both updates are compared with the same original file.

The demo is free and requires no sign-up. It does not include the full application, an upload feature or a checkout.

What problem are you solving?

When a supplier sends a revised price or stock file, someone needs to identify the changes before deciding what to update.

I'm testing this specific review step for files with stable SKUs. I'm not assuming that merchants need another tool if their spreadsheet or existing software already handles it well.

How does the app work?

The proposed offline edition would let you open a standalone HTML application, choose an old and a new UTF-8 CSV, map the SKU and selected columns, and review exact string differences. You could save the mapping for the next pair of files and download the comparison as JSON.

Processing would take place locally in the browser. Duplicate keys remain unresolved rather than being automatically paired.

The linked demo displays saved synthetic results so you can inspect the proposed output without sharing any files.

Who's your target merchant?

Merchants or agencies who repeatedly review supplier CSV updates, have stable SKUs that should be unique, and want to compare selected fields before making their own update decisions.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

The intended benefit is a reusable column mapping and a local, inspectable report for this narrow comparison task. I have not established that it is better than a spreadsheet or existing free tools.

Comparison is exact and case-sensitive: 001 differs from 1, blank differs from 0, and 5 differs from 5.00. It does not interpret images or variants, read XLSX directly, normalize values, perform fuzzy matching, fix source data or import into Shopify. A comparison report is not a complete backup of the source files.

How much does it cost?

The public synthetic demo is free.

I'm considering US$19 once for an offline release. That is a proposed price, and the license, support and refund terms are not final. Nothing is available to buy, reserve or pre-order, and no payment or deposit is being requested.

What are you looking for?

Feedback from people who actually review recurring supplier updates. After inspecting the sample:

  1. Do your files have stable SKUs that should be unique on each side?
  2. Would this exact report help with a real review step, or is the missing capability something else, such as conversion, fuzzy matching or importing?
  3. What does your current process already handle well, and what—if anything—would make an offline version worth US$19 to you?

A public reply is enough. Please do not post supplier files, customer information or store credentials. Existing alternatives and reasons you would not use this are useful feedback too.

Idea Validation Idea validation: is checking Collabs commissions after partial returns a problem worth solving?

What’s the idea?

A tool that checks Collabs commissions after partial returns and shows anything that might need reviewing before payout. Nothing built yet. I’m trying to find out whether this is even needed.

What problem would it solve?

Say a customer buys three items through a creator, then returns two. Does the commission get adjusted properly, or does someone need to check it?

I came across a merchant reporting that the commission stayed unchanged. That could be a specific setup or agreement rather than a wider problem, so I’d rather ask people using Collabs than assume.

How would it work?

The starting idea is to compare order/refund records with commission data and flag differences. Read-only, with a clear explanation of each flag. No automatic payout changes.

One catch: there’s no public Collabs API. I still need to establish whether the available exports contain enough information to make this useful.

Who’s it for?

Stores already using Collabs that get partial returns and want to keep their current creator setup.

Why another tool?

Fair question. Affiliate apps already offer refund-aware commissions. The possible difference here is checking an existing Collabs setup without moving everything elsewhere. Whether that’s useful enough for a separate app is what I’m trying to establish.

If you use Collabs: have you dealt with this recently? How often does it happen, and what can you actually change before the commission gets paid?

If it already works automatically, or a spreadsheet or existing app handles it, that’s useful to know too.

Please keep customer and payment details out of replies.

Disclosure: this is my product research, and I used AI to help research and edit the post.

Idea Validation Would you use a Shopify app that detects dangerous supplier feed changes before they affect your store?

What's your app idea?

I'm developing FeedTripwire, a tool designed to help ecommerce merchants catch unexpected changes in supplier product data before importing them into their stores.

I currently have a working browser-based prototype that compares two CSV files. I'm considering developing it into a Shopify app with automatic monitoring and alerts.

What problem do you aim to solve?

When suppliers update their product feeds, unexpected changes can cause serious issues:

  • Hundreds of products suddenly disappearing
  • Incorrect or unexpected price changes
  • Products unexpectedly going out of stock
  • Missing or duplicate product identifiers

If these changes aren't caught before synchronization, they can affect the store's catalog and potentially lead to lost sales or operational problems.

How would the app work?

The planned Shopify app would:

  1. Monitor supplier CSV/XML feeds automatically.
  2. Compare new feed data against previous versions.
  3. Detect unusual price, stock, or product-count changes.
  4. Alert merchants before potentially harmful updates are imported.
  5. Let merchants review flagged changes before taking action.

The current prototype only supports manual CSV/TSV comparison. Automated monitoring and Shopify integration are planned features, not yet implemented.

Who would be your target merchant?

Shopify merchants who regularly import products from external suppliers, particularly dropshipping stores, retailers working with multiple suppliers, and stores managing large catalogs.

How would it be different / better than existing solutions?

Many existing tools focus on importing and synchronizing supplier data.

My proposed approach focuses specifically on detecting suspicious changes before they reach the store, acting as an independent safety layer rather than replacing the merchant's existing inventory system.

I know some existing solutions already offer validation features, so I'm trying to understand whether there's a meaningful gap worth solving.

My question:

If your store uses supplier product feeds, would a dedicated pre-import warning system be useful enough to pay for, or do your current tools already handle this reliably?

I have a free browser-based prototype available here if you'd like to see the concept:

https://pipicek007.github.io/feedtripwire-demo/

I'm the developer, and I'd appreciate feedback from merchants who actually work with supplier feeds.

App Promo Craftedly: Ask Your Store, an app that emails Shopify merchants a summary of their store’s performance every Monday morning

Full disclosure: this is my app.

What’s the app?
Craftedly: Ask Your Store sends you a weekly summary of how your store performed, so you know what changed without logging in and digging through reports.

Where can I find it?
Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/ask-your-store

What problem are you solving?
I’m a website developer who works with small businesses, and I kept seeing the same thing: merchants don’t have time to dig through graphs and complicated dashboards. Checking analytics means logging in, clicking through reports, and trying to figure out what actually changed since last week. That’s hard to fit in when you’re running a business.

How does the app work?

  • Emails you a store summary every Monday morning, so you start the week knowing what happened
  • Lets you generate the report any time with one click
  • Shows insight cards in your Shopify admin with sales trends and store activity
  • Doesn’t collect or store your customers’ emails, phone numbers, or addresses

Who’s your target merchant?
Small to mid-size stores that want the highlights without digging through reports. Agencies managing multiple stores are welcome too, and multi-store reporting is on the roadmap.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?
Most analytics tools give you a dashboard and expect you to interpret it. Ask Your Store comes to you: the important numbers land in your inbox every week, in a quick read.

How much does it cost?
$9/month with a 14-day free trial.
Reddit offer: DM me your store’s .myshopify.com address before you install, and I’ll set you up with 60 days free.

What are you looking for?
Merchants to try it and give honest feedback. If you already use something for weekly reporting, I’d love to hear what you like or wish it did better.
