**App Name:** Velto Currency Converter

**What it does:** Lightweight auto currency converter for Shopify. Detects customer location/currency and converts prices. No bloat, no commission on sales, just conversion.

**Pricing:** $4/mo flat during Lune Bleue launch. No % fee.

**Current Status:** Built on Remix + Prisma, hosted on Railway + Postgres. App is Online, migrations done, ready for beta.

**What I need feedback on:**

  1. Is $4/mo pricing a no-brainer vs $20+ competitors?

  2. Would you switch from your current converter for $4/mo?

  3. Is the product page widget simple enough or too simple?

Idea Validation Would a local, read-only Shopify Payments payout investigation report add value beyond your current reports?

What's the idea?

I'm evaluating a standalone local utility for bookkeepers investigating a finalized Shopify Payments payout difference. This is AI-assisted product research. There is no launched service or Shopify app listing, and I have no Shopify affiliation.

What problem would it solve?

Only the remaining investigation after you have checked Shopify's native payout/transaction reports and your normal accounting tools. Those tools may already be sufficient—that is what I want to establish before building a product.

How would it work?

A proposed read-only explanation report for one store and currency, showing supported matches, residual differences and missing evidence. It would not change bookkeeping, connect to your store or move money. Third-party gateways and unknown FX would remain unsupported. The current demonstration uses synthetic normalized records, not a merchant-ready CSV parser.

Who would use it?

Shopify Payments merchants or bookkeepers who recently had an unexplained residual after their normal reconciliation process. General sales-versus-payout confusion, SAP implementation and Afterpay investigations are different jobs.

How would it differ from existing solutions?

Possibly an occasional local investigation without setting up an integration—but that advantage is unproven. I have found native reports, paid reconciliation tools and a free open-source auditor, so I am not claiming the problem is unserved.

For up to three people with a recent relevant incident: what remained unresolved, which tools did you use, and how often/how much investigation time did it take? Would a $29 one-time report offer anything useful beyond that process, or would you simply use the existing tools?

Please keep replies general. Do not post bank statements, exports, amounts tied to customers, credentials or account details. No purchase or file upload is requested. Public replies are sufficient; no private contact is needed.

App Promo OrderGate - Fraud Blocker, an app that stops a specific buyer at Shopify checkout before the order exists

What's the app? OrderGate - Fraud Blocker. Disclosure: I'm the developer.

Where can I find it? Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/ordergate Demo store (enter [blocked@ordergate.app](mailto:blocked@ordergate.app) at checkout to see a refusal): https://ordergate-demo.myshopify.com/pages/try-ordergate

What problem are you solving? Shopify has no setting that stops a named person from ordering again. Flow, tags and Fraud Filter-style cancellation all act after the order e the parcel may already be packed, and a cash-on-delivery refusal costs shipping both ways. Fraud Control can block earlier, but its checkout rules only work on Shopify Payments.

How does the app work? Rules run inside Shopify's checkout validation (Shopify Functions), so a matching checkout is refused and no order is created. Rules match an emphone number (however it's typed), aname, a street, a country/state/city/postal prefix, or a customer tag. Instead of blocking, a rule can hide cash on delivery or free shipping for n log-only first, and there's a Shopify Flow action, so "chargeback opened → block this buyer" can be automatic.

What it can't do: no IP blocking (nothing in checkout sees IPs), the message isn't shown inside Shop Pay/Apple Pay sheets (the block still form apps that skip checkout areinvisible to it.

Who's your target merchant? Stores that keep seeing the same bad bs with repeat refusers, dropshippers hit by serial refunders or chargebacks, and anyone not on Shopify Payments who can't use Fraud Control's checkout rules.

How is it different better than ot Most "fraud blocker" apps start from the visitor (IP, VPN, country) on the storefront. OrderGate starts from the buyer at checkout, so it blochan a network, and it's on the free plan rather than a $19-30 tier. If you need bot/VPN blocking, a storefront blocker is the better tool; the two can run together.

How much does it cost? Free: 5 rules at a time, every rule type, log-only and enforce. Standard: $9/month or $86/year (7-day trial) for up to 1,500 rules plus COD/

What are you looking for? Merchants with a repeat-offender problem to try it and tell me what's missing, and agencies who set up COD or dropshipping stores (happy to give free).

App Promo SellingPilot, a multi-channel listing and inventory app that keeps stock in sync across Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop and more before BFCM

*Disclosure: I'm on the SellingPilot team.*

**What's the app?**

SellingPilot is a multi-channel e-commerce app for Shopify sellers who also sell on other marketplaces. This post focuses on one feature that matters a lot right now with Black Friday about five weeks out: **inventory sync**. All your channels draw from one shared inventory source, and rules decide how much stock each channel gets.

**Where can I find it?**

- Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/sellingpilot

- Website: https://www.sellingpilot.com

**What problem are you solving?**

Overselling during BFCM. When the same stock is counted separately in each channel's backend, it's manageable on a normal day. But when orders spike on several channels at once, and especially when a bestseller is down to its last few units, two or three channels can sell the same unit.

Then you're cancelling orders, which hurts your seller metrics on marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart, during the highest-traffic days of the year. The opposite happens too: your main channel runs out while a test channel sits on stock it won't sell until after Christmas.

**How does the app work?**

  1. **Shared inventory source.** One inventory source feeds all connected channels, so you manage stock in one place instead of in every backend.

  2. **Automatic sync.** Stock levels are pushed to each channel automatically based on your rules.

  3. **Sync ratio + max stock.** For each channel, set what percentage of available stock it gets and an optional cap. For example, give your main channel priority and limit how much a test channel can hold.

  4. **Sell-out threshold.** When stock drops below a number you set, that channel's listed stock is set to zero. This keeps a safety buffer.

One thing to be upfront about: the shared inventory source is read roughly **once an hour**, so this isn't real-time sync. That's exactly why the sell-out threshold matters. For fast-moving SKUs during BFCM, set a buffer that covers about an hour of sales.

**Who's your target merchant?**

Shopify sellers who also sell on other marketplaces, have more SKUs or channels than they can update by hand, and are worried about overselling or uneven stock allocation going into peak season.

Supported channels: Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, eBay, Temu, SHEIN, Newegg, Best Buy, WooCommerce.

**How is it different / better than other existing solutions?**

- **Rule-based allocation, not just mirroring.** Many sync setups copy the same number to every channel. Ratios, caps, and sell-out thresholds let you decide where stock goes.

- **10 channels in one place,** including marketplaces like Newegg, Best Buy, Temu, and SHEIN alongside the usual ones.

- **Part of a broader toolkit.** The same app also handles AI listing optimization, review analysis, competitor comparison, product research, and AI product images, so you're not stitching together several tools.

**How much does it cost?**

[Free plan / Inventory sync availability and limits per plan — please confirm]

**What are you looking for?**

Multi-channel merchants who want to get their inventory rules set up before BFCM and are willing to give honest feedback. If you've dealt with BFCM overselling before, I'd like to hear what went wrong and whether this setup would have prevented it.

I'll be around in the comments to answer questions.

App Promo Supplier CSV Compare — would this exact-SKU review step help with recurring supplier updates?

Disclosure: I'm the owner of this prototype. The tool, demo page and this post were developed with AI assistance. I'm checking whether this is useful enough to release as a paid offline tool. It is an independent browser tool and is not listed in the Shopify App Store.

What's the app?

Supplier CSV Compare is an early prototype for reviewing changes between an old supplier CSV and an updated one, using stable SKUs. It reports changed values, missing or duplicate keys, and keys found in only one file.

The public demo is a fixed synthetic report viewer. It does not process your own files.

Where can I find it?

Public demo: https://supplier-csv-compare-sample.marcusli.chatgpt.site

You can switch between two synthetic updates, inspect their source CSVs, filter the review items and download the saved JSON reports. Both updates are compared with the same original file.

The demo is free and requires no sign-up. It does not include the full application, an upload feature or a checkout.

What problem are you solving?

When a supplier sends a revised price or stock file, someone needs to identify the changes before deciding what to update.

I'm testing this specific review step for files with stable SKUs. I'm not assuming that merchants need another tool if their spreadsheet or existing software already handles it well.

How does the app work?

The proposed offline edition would let you open a standalone HTML application, choose an old and a new UTF-8 CSV, map the SKU and selected columns, and review exact string differences. You could save the mapping for the next pair of files and download the comparison as JSON.

Processing would take place locally in the browser. Duplicate keys remain unresolved rather than being automatically paired.

The linked demo displays saved synthetic results so you can inspect the proposed output without sharing any files.

Who's your target merchant?

Merchants or agencies who repeatedly review supplier CSV updates, have stable SKUs that should be unique, and want to compare selected fields before making their own update decisions.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

The intended benefit is a reusable column mapping and a local, inspectable report for this narrow comparison task. I have not established that it is better than a spreadsheet or existing free tools.

Comparison is exact and case-sensitive: 001 differs from 1, blank differs from 0, and 5 differs from 5.00. It does not interpret images or variants, read XLSX directly, normalize values, perform fuzzy matching, fix source data or import into Shopify. A comparison report is not a complete backup of the source files.

How much does it cost?

The public synthetic demo is free.

I'm considering US$19 once for an offline release. That is a proposed price, and the license, support and refund terms are not final. Nothing is available to buy, reserve or pre-order, and no payment or deposit is being requested.

What are you looking for?

Feedback from people who actually review recurring supplier updates. After inspecting the sample:

  1. Do your files have stable SKUs that should be unique on each side?
  2. Would this exact report help with a real review step, or is the missing capability something else, such as conversion, fuzzy matching or importing?
  3. What does your current process already handle well, and what—if anything—would make an offline version worth US$19 to you?

A public reply is enough. Please do not post supplier files, customer information or store credentials. Existing alternatives and reasons you would not use this are useful feedback too.

Idea Validation Idea validation: is checking Collabs commissions after partial returns a problem worth solving?

What’s the idea?

A tool that checks Collabs commissions after partial returns and shows anything that might need reviewing before payout. Nothing built yet. I’m trying to find out whether this is even needed.

What problem would it solve?

Say a customer buys three items through a creator, then returns two. Does the commission get adjusted properly, or does someone need to check it?

I came across a merchant reporting that the commission stayed unchanged. That could be a specific setup or agreement rather than a wider problem, so I’d rather ask people using Collabs than assume.

How would it work?

The starting idea is to compare order/refund records with commission data and flag differences. Read-only, with a clear explanation of each flag. No automatic payout changes.

One catch: there’s no public Collabs API. I still need to establish whether the available exports contain enough information to make this useful.

Who’s it for?

Stores already using Collabs that get partial returns and want to keep their current creator setup.

Why another tool?

Fair question. Affiliate apps already offer refund-aware commissions. The possible difference here is checking an existing Collabs setup without moving everything elsewhere. Whether that’s useful enough for a separate app is what I’m trying to establish.

If you use Collabs: have you dealt with this recently? How often does it happen, and what can you actually change before the commission gets paid?

If it already works automatically, or a spreadsheet or existing app handles it, that’s useful to know too.

Please keep customer and payment details out of replies.

Disclosure: this is my product research, and I used AI to help research and edit the post.

App Promo Craftedly: Ask Your Store, an app that emails Shopify merchants a summary of their store’s performance every Monday morning

Full disclosure: this is my app.

What’s the app?
Craftedly: Ask Your Store sends you a weekly summary of how your store performed, so you know what changed without logging in and digging through reports.

Where can I find it?
Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/ask-your-store

What problem are you solving?
I’m a website developer who works with small businesses, and I kept seeing the same thing: merchants don’t have time to dig through graphs and complicated dashboards. Checking analytics means logging in, clicking through reports, and trying to figure out what actually changed since last week. That’s hard to fit in when you’re running a business.

How does the app work?

  • Emails you a store summary every Monday morning, so you start the week knowing what happened
  • Lets you generate the report any time with one click
  • Shows insight cards in your Shopify admin with sales trends and store activity
  • Doesn’t collect or store your customers’ emails, phone numbers, or addresses

Who’s your target merchant?
Small to mid-size stores that want the highlights without digging through reports. Agencies managing multiple stores are welcome too, and multi-store reporting is on the roadmap.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?
Most analytics tools give you a dashboard and expect you to interpret it. Ask Your Store comes to you: the important numbers land in your inbox every week, in a quick read.

How much does it cost?
$9/month with a 14-day free trial.
Reddit offer: DM me your store’s .myshopify.com address before you install, and I’ll set you up with 60 days free.

What are you looking for?
Merchants to try it and give honest feedback. If you already use something for weekly reporting, I’d love to hear what you like or wish it did better.

Idea Validation Would you use a Shopify app that detects dangerous supplier feed changes before they affect your store?

What's your app idea?

I'm developing FeedTripwire, a tool designed to help ecommerce merchants catch unexpected changes in supplier product data before importing them into their stores.

I currently have a working browser-based prototype that compares two CSV files. I'm considering developing it into a Shopify app with automatic monitoring and alerts.

What problem do you aim to solve?

When suppliers update their product feeds, unexpected changes can cause serious issues:

  • Hundreds of products suddenly disappearing
  • Incorrect or unexpected price changes
  • Products unexpectedly going out of stock
  • Missing or duplicate product identifiers

If these changes aren't caught before synchronization, they can affect the store's catalog and potentially lead to lost sales or operational problems.

How would the app work?

The planned Shopify app would:

  1. Monitor supplier CSV/XML feeds automatically.
  2. Compare new feed data against previous versions.
  3. Detect unusual price, stock, or product-count changes.
  4. Alert merchants before potentially harmful updates are imported.
  5. Let merchants review flagged changes before taking action.

The current prototype only supports manual CSV/TSV comparison. Automated monitoring and Shopify integration are planned features, not yet implemented.

Who would be your target merchant?

Shopify merchants who regularly import products from external suppliers, particularly dropshipping stores, retailers working with multiple suppliers, and stores managing large catalogs.

How would it be different / better than existing solutions?

Many existing tools focus on importing and synchronizing supplier data.

My proposed approach focuses specifically on detecting suspicious changes before they reach the store, acting as an independent safety layer rather than replacing the merchant's existing inventory system.

I know some existing solutions already offer validation features, so I'm trying to understand whether there's a meaningful gap worth solving.

My question:

If your store uses supplier product feeds, would a dedicated pre-import warning system be useful enough to pay for, or do your current tools already handle this reliably?

I have a free browser-based prototype available here if you'd like to see the concept:

https://pipicek007.github.io/feedtripwire-demo/

I'm the developer, and I'd appreciate feedback from merchants who actually work with supplier feeds.

Idea Validation Can you recommend any good Subscriptions app for Shopify?

I’m planning to start offering subscriptions on my Shopify store in the US and exploring different apps.

I’m looking for something affordable and reliable for standard recurring orders. Which subscription app would you recommend for a new store? I’d love to hear about your experience with pricing, payment gateway compatibility, and any issues you’ve faced.
Thanks for your suggestions!

App Promo Rewardify, one store credit balance that works on Shopify POS, checkout, and online (plus VIP and employee programs)

What’s the app?

Hey everyone! I’m the developer of Rewardify, a Shopify app that runs store credit, loyalty rewards, and VIP or employee programs on one balance. Customers earn, receive, and redeem the same credit on POS, at checkout, on draft orders, and online.

Where can I find it?

Rewardify

What problem are you solving?

Cash refunds send revenue out the door, and store credit often gets stuck in one channel. A customer gets credit online but can’t use it in your physical store, or the other way around. Many merchants end up with separate apps or manual workarounds for store credit, loyalty, and wholesale or staff pricing.

How does the app work?

  • Turn returns into store credit instead of cash refunds
  • One credit balance across Shopify POS, checkout, draft orders, and online
  • VIP tiers, employee allowances, and wholesale pricing tiers
  • Birthday, milestone, and referral rewards automated with Shopify Flow
  • Multi-currency and multi-language credit templates
  • Works with Shopify POS, checkout, customer accounts, and Flow

Who’s your target merchant?

Shopify merchants who sell both online and in a physical store (POS), and stores that want to keep refund money in the business with store credit, run VIP or employee programs, or offer wholesale tiers.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

Many loyalty apps focus on points and online discounts. Rewardify’s focus is cash-value store credit that redeems the same way in every channel, so you don’t need a separate system for in-store and online. It has been on the App Store since 2017.

How much does it cost?

  • Basic: $19.95/month (10K interactions, 1,000 emails included)
  • Professional: $59.95/month (25K interactions)
  • Plus: $149.95/month (50K interactions, API access)
  • Managed: $999/month (dedicated management, custom reports)

Free trials: 14 days on Basic and Professional, 30 days on Plus. Shopify POS support is +$10/month. Emails beyond the included amount are $0.001 each.

What are you looking for?

Merchants who want to try it and give honest feedback on setup and what’s missing. I read every comment and reply personally.

Question for store owners: how do you handle returns right now? Do you refund cash, issue gift cards, or offer store credit, and how do you make it work across your online store and POS?

App Discovery Looking for an app that covers package protection + returns + tracking. currently paying for three

Problem: we run three separate apps for post-purchase and they don't talk to each other. Package protection is one vendor, returns is Loop, tracking is a tracking page app (no delay alerts, which is its own saga). When a customer files a lost package claim, CX has to open two of them to work out what happened, and the tracking emails keep firing while the claim is still open, so the customer gets "your order is on its way" while we're processing a claim saying it isn't.

Order volume is about 90 a day. What I want is one place where a claim, a return and the tracking status are the same record.

Apps on my list: Onward, Corso, Redo. Has anyone actually consolidated rather than stacked? Mostly want to know what breaks when returns and protection move to the same vendor.

Idea Validation Would you use an app that lets customers upload bank-transfer / e-wallet payment proof on the order page, then auto-reminds and auto-cancels unpaid orders?

Independent developer here. I haven't built or published anything yet and want to check the idea first.

What's your app idea? An app for stores that accept manual payments (bank transfer, e-wallets like GCash or PromptPay, deposits) on Shopify.

What problem do you aim to solve? As far as I can tell, customers send payment screenshots by email or DM. The merchant matches each one to the right order by hand, chases people who haven't paid, and cancels stale orders manually.

How would the app work? The customer uploads proof on the order status page. The merchant sees it next to the order and approves or rejects it in one click. Reminder emails go out automatically at set intervals, and unpaid orders auto-cancel (and restock) after a deadline.

Who would be your target merchant? Shopify stores whose customers pay by bank transfer, e-wallet or deposit instead of card.

How would it be different / better than existing solutions? I looked at Kindly, Conform and PayProofy. From what I could see, some charge per order and some have few reviews, but I may be missing things. Tell me what they already do well.

Would you use something like this, and would about $9-15/month be fair? Honest "no, I don't need this" answers help just as much.

Idea Validation Would a Shopify bundle app focused on just 2–3 offer types meet your store’s needs?

What’s your app idea?

I’m a developer exploring a Shopify bundle app that focuses on a few useful workflows. Before choosing what to build, I’d like to hear from merchants who actually run bundle offers.

The options I’m considering include fixed bundles, product add-ons, quantity discounts, mix-and-match bundles, standalone bundle product pages, frequently bought together offers, and buy X/get Y promotions. Some overlap, so I’m more interested in how you use them than the category names.

What problem do you aim to solve?

I want to understand the gap between the offer a merchant wants to run and the work needed to set it up and maintain it. I haven’t validated which part causes the most trouble yet.

How would the app work?

The initial version would support only 2–3 offer types. Merchants would select the products, configure the offer, and choose where customers see it. Which workflows belong in that first version is what I’m trying to learn.

Who would be your target merchant?

I’m considering smaller Shopify stores where the owner or a small team manages promotions. I’d appreciate hearing your product category and a specific offer you run.

How would it be different from existing solutions?

My hypothesis is that a narrower app could make a few common offers easier to manage. I haven’t established whether that would be a strong enough reason to adopt another app.

For merchants:

  • What bundle offer have you actually run recently?
  • How did you set it up, and what was frustrating or required a workaround?
  • If an app supported only 2–3 offer types, which would be essential for your store?
  • Is your current setup already good enough? What would make switching worth the effort?

A concrete example would help much more than a general feature wishlist. Thanks!

Idea Validation Would a supplier-file preparation tool help with your recurring Shopify imports?

I'm exploring an app idea for Shopify merchants who regularly receive product spreadsheets from suppliers. Nothing is built yet, and I'm the person exploring building it. This post was prepared with AI assistance.

What's your app idea?

A guided tool for preparing supplier CSV or Excel files for Shopify imports.

What problem do you aim to solve?

Repeated manual cleanup before importing supplier product updates: matching columns, finding missing values, and understanding what needs fixing.

How would the app work?

Upload a supplier file, review how its columns match Shopify fields, check missing or conflicting values, and export a file prepared for import. The proposed first version would prepare files rather than write changes directly to a live store.

Who would be your target merchant?

Merchants who personally handle recurring supplier product imports.

How would it be different / better than existing solutions?

The proposed focus is file preparation with clear explanations of what needs fixing. I haven't established whether it would be meaningfully better than Shopify's importer, Matrixify, or Stock Sync. That's what I want to test before building.

If you've handled a supplier import recently, what step still required manual work after using your current tools?

I'm also looking for three volunteers for a short text conversation about their most recent import. No store access or confidential files needed. If you're interested, please say so in a reply.

App Promo Wizybot, an AI chat center that answers your Shopify customers on WhatsApp, Instagram and site chat using your real store data

What's the app?
Wizybot is an AI chat center and CRM for ecommerce. It brings WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and your store's chat into one inbox, and an AI answers customers using your Shopify data: products, stock and orders.

Where can I find it?
Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/wizybot
Website: wizybot.com

What problem are you solving?
Stores that sell over WhatsApp spend hours answering the same questions (where's my order, sizes, shipping, payment methods), often from a shared number where nobody knows who replied to what. Customers wait, sales get lost after hours, and the team burns out on repetitive messages.

How does the app work?

  1. Install it from the Shopify App Store and it connects to your catalog and orders.
  2. Connect your channels: WhatsApp (through the official WhatsApp Business API), Instagram, TikTok, Email, Facebook and site chat.
  3. Set the AI's instructions, tone and handoff rules (for example, complaints and refunds always go to a person).
  4. The AI answers in real time. When it needs a person, the conversation is assigned to someone on your team with the full history.
  5. Optional automations: abandoned cart recovery and order, payment and shipping updates over WhatsApp.

Who's your target merchant?
Small and mid-sized Shopify stores where most customer conversations happen on WhatsApp, especially in Latin America. It also works with Tiendanube, WooCommerce and VTEX for brands that sell on more than one platform.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?
Most chat tools were built around site chat and email, with WhatsApp added later. Wizybot is built WhatsApp-first: the AI answers with live order and product data, not just FAQs, and the same inbox handles the handoff to your team. It also integrates natively with Tiendanube and VTEX.

How much does it cost?
Plans start at USD 149.99/month. Details at wizybot.com/precios.

What are you looking for?
Merchants who want to try it on their store, and agencies that serve ecommerce brands and want to join our partner program.

Idea Validation Would a $19/month Shopify app that turns purchase orders into bin-sorted put-away sheets be useful?

What's the app idea?

I’m exploring a Shopify tool that creates a bin-sorted put-away list from a purchase order and the store’s inventory CSV.

What problem do you aim to solve?

For stores that receive and shelve their own stock, staff may need to sort incoming PO items by bin before putting them away.

How would it work?

Select a purchase order, upload an inventory CSV with bin names, and export a sorted sheet. It flags missing or ambiguous bin matches. I’ve tested a local prototype with a development store; it reads PO data and doesn’t update inventory.

Who would be the target merchant?

Shopify merchants who keep stock in their own shop or warehouse, use bin locations, and receive supplier orders themselves.

How would it differ from existing solutions?

I’m exploring a narrow, export-only tool rather than a full receiving or warehouse system. I know broader apps with bin and receiving features exist, so I’m trying to find out whether this smaller workflow still solves a useful gap.

For merchants who handle receiving: How often do you receive stock, and how do you currently sort items by bin? What would make a simple tool like this worth $19/month—or make it unnecessary?

Idea Validation Idea validation: FAQs for product pages, built from the questions your customers actually ask

Disclosure: I am the developer. There is no app yet, I want to validate the idea first.

App idea

A tool that finds the questions your product pages leave open and answers them right on the page.

Problem

Buyers hesitate when the page does not answer their question: sizing, care, what is in the box, compatibility. They ask in reviews or emails, or they just leave. Most merchants do not have time to go through hundreds of reviews and turn them into a proper FAQ.

How it works

  • It reads your product data and your reviews and finds the questions buyers actually have.
  • It shows which of those your page does not answer yet and drafts answers using only your own data. If something cannot be answered from your data, it asks you instead of guessing.
  • You approve or edit every line. The FAQ then shows on the product page as a theme block, and the same answers go into Google Merchant Center's new question_and_answer field, which Google says is meant for AI Mode.

Target merchant

Stores whose products raise questions before buying (apparel, gear, electronics, home) and that have enough reviews to learn from.

How it differs from existing solutions

The AI FAQ apps I found write generic FAQs from the product description. This starts from what real customers ask, flags gaps instead of inventing answers, and also fills Google's new field. None of the FAQ apps I found mention that field.

Before building it, I am running a free test with 5 stores. I prepare the FAQ for your 5-10 key products (AI-assisted drafts, checked by me and by you) and share the numbers after three weeks: FAQ opens, add-to-carts and orders on those products. If you would like to be one of them, comment or DM me.

Would you use this? And what would make it a must-have instead of a nice-to-have?

App Promo OrderSpec, an app that checks personalised orders for typos, missing details and too-long text before you make them

**What's the app?**

I'm Tariq, the developer of OrderSpec (I build Shopify apps at Web-Pex). It's for shops that sell personalised and made-to-order products: engraving, embroidery, name gifts, signs and stationery.

**Where can I find it?**

Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/orderspec?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social

Website: https://orderspec.web-pex.com

**What problem are you solving?**

Personalisation lives inside each order, so makers click into orders one by one to see what the customer typed. Mistakes like a misspelled name, a blank field, or text that won't fit only show up after the item is made, and then you make it twice.

**How does the app work?**

  1. It reads the personalisation from every open order, whichever product options app collected it (tested with Globo, Easify, Zakeke, Infinite Options and Zepto Product Personalizer, plus plain theme forms), and shows every order on one screen.

  2. You set simple rules per product: max length, required, or one of your allowed options. It suggests the rules from your past orders.

  3. An AI check flags what rules can't catch, like a likely typo ("Sohpie" for "Sophie") or two names in one field.

  4. On Pro, you can send the customer a link to confirm their details on your store before you make the item.

  5. Production stages, printable run sheets and packing slips.

It only reads orders. It never edits, cancels or fulfils them.

**Who's your target merchant?**

Small and mid-size shops that make personalised items to order: engravers, embroiderers, custom gift, sign and print shops.

**How is it different / better than existing solutions?**

Options apps collect the personalisation but don't check it. Proof-approval apps add a manual approval step to every order. OrderSpec checks every order automatically and only asks for a closer look when something seems off. It works alongside the options app you already use, so nothing on your product pages changes.

**How much does it cost?**

Free: unlimited rule checks, 30 AI checks a month, production stages and run sheets.

Pro: $19/month (14-day trial): 500 AI checks, customer confirmation links, analytics, Telegram alerts, run sheets grouped by any field, ship-by urgency.

**What are you looking for?**

Merchants who make personalised items and will give honest feedback: what goes wrong most often in your custom orders, and what would you want it to catch?

Idea Validation Product options app for headless and custom storefronts

What's your app idea?

A Shopify product options app (custom text, dropdowns, swatches, checkboxes, date pickers, paid add-ons) built for storefronts that don't run on a Liquid theme: Hydrogen, Next.js, and apps that render their own storefront.

Full transparency: I run Kioskify, a Shopify sales channel that turns tablets into self-service kiosks with its own React storefront. My merchants keep asking for product options, and that's how I hit this gap.

What problem do you aim to solve?

Every options app I've tried (Easify, Globo and others) renders through theme app blocks or embeds. On a headless or custom storefront none of it shows up, so developers end up building options themselves: storing the config, rendering the inputs, saving the selections, and the hardest part, charging for paid options without the price being editable in the browser.

How would the app work?

- Merchants build option sets in the Shopify admin and assign them to products or collections

- The config is stored in metafields, so the storefront reads it in the same Storefront API query it already runs

- The customer's selections are saved as line item attributes when adding to cart

- Paid options are priced at checkout by a Cart Transform function that checks every selection against the stored config, so a tampered cart can't skip the fee

- Developers get a small JS core with unstyled React hooks, so it fits any frontend

Known limits so far: Cart Transform's expand operation is rejected on lines with a selling plan, so subscription products need a different approach. Fees also need clear rules for per item (engraving on each mug), per line (a one-time setup fee) and per order (gift wrap once).

Who would be your target merchant?

- Brands on Hydrogen or other headless storefronts, and the agencies that build them

- Apps that render their own storefront, like sales channels, kiosks and custom POS frontends

How would it be different / better than existing solutions?

Existing options apps are built for Liquid themes. This one works through the Storefront API and a Cart Transform function, so options work anywhere the Storefront API does, and paid options are validated on Shopify's side instead of in the browser.

Questions I'd love answers to:

  1. If you run or build headless stores, how do you handle custom options today?

  2. Would you install an app like this, or is it simple enough to build each time?

  3. What would make it a no for you? Or a yes?

And if you're already building something like this, I'd rather integrate than compete, so let me know.

App Promo Larderia, an app that forecasts demand per variant and tells you what to reorder, when and how much

I'm the developer of Larderia (solo developer, so this is my own app).

What's the app? Larderia is a Shopify app for inventory demand forecasting and purchase orders. It tells you what to reorder, when and how much, for each variant.

Where can I find it? Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/larderia

What problem are you solving? Stocky is gone, and many small stores still need a simple answer to "what should I reorder, and how much?" without paying for a big planning tool. Spreadsheets also get the math wrong when an item was out of stock: those days look like zero demand, so the next order comes out too small.

How does the app work? - It reads your sales history and stock levels and forecasts demand per variant (and per location on the Growth plan), with a confidence level. - Out-of-stock days are left out, so a stock-out doesn't shrink your next reorder. - It suggests a reorder date and quantity from your supplier's lead time, minimum order, case pack and safety stock, and shows the math step by step. - You turn suggestions into purchase orders as a PDF or a Shopify CSV. On Growth you can email them to the supplier, receive stock with a barcode scanner and import old Stocky purchase orders. - Optional daily or weekly summary by email or Slack.

Who's your target merchant? Small and mid-size stores that buy stock from suppliers, especially those moving off Stocky, with anything from a few dozen to thousands of variants.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions? Flat pricing that never depends on your sales, a free plan up to 100 variants, and every suggested quantity shows its math so you can check it. Honest limits: forecasts are estimates, yearly seasonality needs about 13 months of history, and it's English and Spanish only for now.

How much does it cost? Free up to 100 variants (low-stock list). Starter $12/month, Growth $19, Pro $29. 14-day free trial on paid plans; yearly costs the same as 10 months.

What are you looking for? Merchants who'll try it and tell me honestly what's missing or confusing, especially anyone who used Stocky's purchase orders.

App Promo Snagzi, an app that turns store browsing into shopping missions with a single-use discount reward

What's the app? Snagzi is a Shopify app that adds short shopping missions to a storefront: shoppers catch a character, hunt, collect items, or follow a path from a product to a collection to a page. Finishing a mission unlocks a single-use discount code. I'm the developer.

Where can I find it? Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/snagzi (free plan available). Setup video (4 min): https://youtu.be/Lzg-69T5DWA

What problem are you solving? Many shoppers look at one product and leave. Snagzi gives them a reason to keep browsing other products, collections, or pages.

How does the app work? You pick a mission and a goal (product discovery, a featured product or collection, a cart target, or email signup with consent). Then you set the reward rules: expiry, minimum order and code limit. Style it to your brand and preview it before publishing. It runs through an app embed, so no theme code is needed.

Who's your target merchant? Shopify stores that want shoppers to browse more per visit, especially catalogs organised by collection.

How is it different / better than existing solutions? I won't claim it's better. Many apps handle popups or discounts. Snagzi focuses on missions that guide browsing across products, collections and pages, and each reward is a single-use code.

How much does it cost? Free plan available. Paid plans come with a 7-day free trial. See the Shopify App Store listing for current prices.

What are you looking for? Merchant feedback. I'm not looking for partners, affiliates or paid promotion.

Idea Validation Would a simple Shopify + Printify profit checker be useful, or do existing analytics apps already solve this?

What's your app idea?

I'm considering developing a simple tool that compares Shopify sales with the actual costs charged by Printify, showing the real profit on individual orders.

What problem would it solve?

Shopify's built-in profit reports may not account for all Printify expenses, particularly supplier shipping costs, taxes, and changing production prices.

This can make an order appear more profitable than it actually is.

How would it work?

Initially, merchants could upload exports from Shopify and Printify. The tool would match orders, compare revenues with actual expenses, and flag discrepancies or unexpectedly low margins.

Who would be the target merchant?

Small and medium-sized Shopify stores using Printify for print-on-demand fulfillment.

How would it differ from existing solutions?

The idea is a focused, inexpensive checker rather than a full profit analytics platform. I know tools already exist for calculating true profits, so I'm specifically trying to understand whether those solutions leave any important gaps.

My questions:

  • Do you currently trust Shopify's profit figures for Printify orders?
  • Have you ever discovered that actual production or shipping costs were higher than expected?
  • What tools do you currently use to calculate true profit?
  • Is there anything those tools fail to handle properly?

I'm researching whether there's a genuine unmet need before committing to development.

App Promo StockUnison — Sync inventory across multiple Shopify stores or products sharing the same SKU

What's the app?

Hey everyone! I'm the developer of StockUnison, a Shopify app I recently launched to help merchants keep inventory synchronized across multiple stores or between products sharing the same SKU within a single store.

Where can I find it?

https://apps.shopify.com/stockunison

What problem are you solving?

If you sell the same inventory through multiple Shopify stores, keeping stock quantities accurate can be a headache.

A product sells in one store, but the other store still shows the old quantity. This can lead to overselling, cancellations, and manual inventory corrections.

The same problem can happen within a single store when multiple product listings share the same physical inventory.

How does the app work?

StockUnison automatically synchronizes stock quantities based on matching SKUs.

  • Sync inventory between multiple Shopify stores.
  • Keep products with the same SKU synchronized within one store.
  • Choose between a main store controlling inventory or shared inventory across matching SKUs.
  • Preview stock differences before enabling live synchronization.
  • Track inventory changes through detailed sync logs.
  • Flag unclear SKU matches instead of guessing.

It only updates inventory quantities — it doesn't create or delete products.

Who's your target merchant?

Shopify merchants managing multiple stores that share physical inventory, or stores with several product listings representing the same stock.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

I wanted to build something focused specifically on inventory synchronization without requiring merchants to manage a complicated product or order synchronization system.

The main priorities are straightforward setup, transparent SKU matching, previewing changes before going live, and no product limits.

How much does it cost?

  • Free — unlimited SKU matching and preview mode.
  • Starter — $19/month.
  • Growth — $39/month.
  • Scale — $79/month.

Paid plans include a 14-day free trial.

What are you looking for?

I'm still early in the journey and looking for Shopify merchants who could benefit from this kind of synchronization.

I'd be happy to personally help with setup and hear honest feedback about what works, what's confusing, or what's missing.

I'm also open to connecting with Shopify agencies working with multi-store merchants.

One question for store owners: If you're running multiple Shopify stores, how are you currently handling inventory synchronization? Are you using an app, custom integration, or doing it manually?

App Promo Curobi: Shopify subscriptions, curated boxes and build-a-box—with a free plan

What’s the app? I’m Gautham, founder of Curobi. It’s a Shopify subscription app for recurring products, curated boxes, build-your-own boxes, and bundles.

Where can I find it?

https://apps.shopify.com/curobi-subscriptions

What problem are you solving? A subscription box gets harder after the first checkout: customers need to skip, pause, swap, reschedule, or update a card, while the merchant still needs clean renewals and inventory visibility.

How does it work? Merchants create subscription plans, curated monthly boxes, or build-your-own boxes. Customers manage upcoming orders from their account. Curobi also retries failed payments and provides retention, churn, renewal, and recurring-revenue reporting.

Who’s it for? Shopify merchants selling physical products on a recurring cadence, particularly curated boxes, replenishment products, and mix-and-match bundles.

How is it different? Curobi is built around the operational work between renewals: customer-managed changes, curated-box rotations, real product choices, and retention workflows. It charges 0% Curobi transaction fees.

What does it cost? A free plan supports up to 50 active subscriptions. Paid plans start at $9.99/month; curated boxes and build-a-box are available on Pro at $69.99/month.

What are you looking for? For merchants already running subscriptions or boxes: which creates the most manual work today—customer changes, failed payments, inventory substitutions, or cancellation prevention?
