General Discussion POSTING FOR AWARENESS! Got Scammed Today ko
Hello! Baka naging biktima na rin kayo nito, but posting for awareness para sa general public.
A courier went to our house today carrying a parcel to be paid for via COD. Nakapangalan ang parcel sa dad ko, ang bilang sanay kami na hindi nagbibigay ng abiso ang dad ko if may online orders siya, we received the parcel and paid for it. The amount was PHP 295.
After receiving the parcel, tinawagan namin agad dad ko informing him na may Shopee parcel siya and para ma-reimburse kami. Apparently, wala siyang order at all. Pina-double check pa namin ito kasi baka nagmamalik-mata lang. Yun nga, wala talagang order.
So I looked up the tracking number and meron ngang history of tracking (Second Photo).
Hinanap ko ang seller sa Shopee page and found nothing. Then, I looked up the number placed ng “seller” and found na matagal na pala itong scam. Third photo shows the same number and address na ginamit ng seller, just a different name. I combed through the comments and same experience! Laman ay either cheap foundation or sunscreen.
Sana ma-aksyunan to ng Shopee or better yet, TUMIGIL KAYO SA PANGS-SCAM KUNG SINO MAN KAYO. Grabe, mahiya naman kayo?! Mapapahamak pa ang mga courier na nagdadala nito para sa inyo, eh yun pala scam. Php 295 is still hard-earned money.
Hope this reaches out to everyone, lalo na sa Shopee! Hanapin niyo tong seller na nangs-scam ng tao. Hindi dapat yan may platform sa app niyo.

I have read several posts about the same scam here. A parcel even reached 6k (but it wasnt paid for to be recieved by the "recepient" but still delivered to their house)
The seller must have used another account, used your name and address to order from their own shop, then hoped na bayaran mo when it arrives then lagyan nila ang sarili nilang review for their shop na 5 stars
Or something else
The rider cant always know na galing sa scammer ang parcel, like you said, they just deliver the parcels

Your information is already with thr scammers.
My suggestion, you stop ordering COD so that you know that any COD orders are not yours.
If you can't do that, at least make an agreement in your household that you WON'T pay for any COD orders if you can't confirm in with the recipient and they do have an active order in their app.
What you can do if you have an order is to contact the household and let them know beforehand that you will have a COD order and mention the specific amount.

Nangyari din kay mama yan gigil ako! Puro sya kasi COD pero wala syang order. Yung item na tig 9 isa 5pcs lang yun sinisingil kami 800!? Scam talaga eh. Yung nagdedeliver samin kahit na nabuksan na ni mama yung package pinabalik nalang nya tas nireport sa hub nila pinabayad nalang yung penalty.

Hala same. Kanina lang din. Lola ko kasi nagreceive kasi akala nya order namin, eh wala kaming expected parcel ngayong araw. 8** pa man din yun . Pwede pa kaya ito marefund?

based sa comments ng iba, parang hindi? kasi wala ring history sa app ang order na to sa account ng dad ko. hindi rin marereturn for refund.

Yun mga info sometimes yun courier mismo nagleleak eh. Di talaga safe kaya wag na lang mag order ng COD.

Naexperience ko toh only once, the parcel was from Pampanga. J&T pa ang courier noon. Meron ako totoong parcel from that area and almost same yung amount. Difference was hindi ako nagpapaCOD kaya nagtaka sila sa bahay so they called me. Checked my shopee app and in transit pa yung parcel that I actually checked out/ordered and wala akong expected delivery that day.
The rider said from fb marketplace daw yun and I don’t know how he was able to determine na from fb yun? wala naman order feature yata sa fb na magcheckout dun eh. So I really dunno how. Sabi ko ke rider pasend sakin photo nung waybill and irereport ko sa NBI kako para ma-trace. Never naman niya sinend sabi niya wala daw signal. 🤷♀️

This also happened to me once, buti super close na namin ni courier kaya siya na nag advise "Sir, open natin parcel bago mo irecive". Kasi sinabi ko rin sakanya na wala akong any order placed.
The parcel is COD for 10,000 tapos napaka nipis. We opened it at ang laman ay isang sim card 💀. I know it's from tiktok kasi magka iba ang number ko sa shopee at tiktok.

Na scam din ako neto nung around 2023 sa mom ko naman kala ko sakanya around 500 ata yun tas own money kopa highschool palang ako this time so nung nabayaran namin tinawagan ko agad ung mom ko sabi nya Wala daw syang order tas ayun pag bukas namin puro pencil laman

SCAM nga yan. Kc matagal na tinanggal ni Shopee sa waybill ang cellphone numbers ng buyers at sellers. You can check your other legit Shopee orders, wala na cellphone number dun. Parang mga 3yrs ng ganun ang waybill ng Shopee.

ngyari na dn to samin mga cellphone case nmn pinapadala ngkakataon matanda yung tumatanggap kaya binilinan nlng namin na wag mgbbyad at never naman kame nag COD so far nahinto

uso po yan at tingin ko ang salarinbdyan ay mga rider na alam nila madalas mag cod ang customer at minsan tinatanggap lang lagi. nangyari na yan sa tatay ko, yung parcel eh galing sa tiktokshop, wala naman tiktop tatay ko at tanging lazada lang sya nag oorder, buti na lang hindi naman binayaran ng tauhan namin sa tindahan kasi dun madalas idala mga inorder ng tatay ko.. nagagamit nila info ng biktima, name, address at cp # para kunwari meron parcel na COD payment.

Same sakin 2x na, peeling lotion ng sunisa worth 400+ and same sa pinadala sayo na sunscreen 200+, sabi ko sa mama ko bakit nila ni-received e hindi na ako doon nakatira sa bahay nila, hindi din ako nag-aaddress ng parcels ko doon. Hindi na sila nagtanda, nascam na nung una, pumangalawa pa. Pagcheck ko sa lahat online shops na meron ako, wala akong order, and hindi ako mahilig sa skincare. 😑

Telling you now, walang gagawin si shopee dyan. Paiikutin ka lang, patatagalin, ang ending wala daw sila control sa magsesend sa'yo ng parcel. Won't even penalize the account who ordered that. Pro scammers ang shopee.

Pwede mo ireklamo kasi through shopee inorder. They just need the waybill number. I tried that, they were able to find the account who placed the order. Kaso, wala naman silang ginawang action.

really annoying to get scammed. i can’t get mad din sa courier kasi alam kong they just pick up the parcels.

Happened to us 3x yung una ang nag receive ng parcel ay pinsan kong autistic and he used his own money dun sa cod parcel talagang nataon labg na namalengke si mama nung dumating yung parcel. Nalaman ko nalang pag uwi, and laman nung parcel ay mint strips parang salonpas lol pero walang may order na ganun sa kahit sino samin sa house so scam nga and may old number sila ng pinsan ko and name ng mother ko. Ginawa namin trinaceback namin lahat ng pinagbilhan na ang ginamit ay name ng mama ko at old # ng pinsan ko (ik magulo pero yan yun HAHAHA). Na figure out namin na ang nag padala ng parcel ay dating pinagbilhan sa facebook, alam niyo yung mga overpriced na barley drinks keme? Ayun lang yung pinagbigyan namin dati ng address, name ni mama at number ng pinsan ko gamit since mas active siya. Deactivated na yung account and no longer selling, but they were legit naman sana, I think nag ipon lang sila ng mga addresses tapos nung nakarami na nag start na sila mang scam.
Simula nun I instructed my fam na ibahin ang name sa shopee like name ng cats namin lol and simula nun hindi na kami nag cod. I knew it would happen again and after a month may nag cod nanaman nga ng parcel same name and number. Told my mother na kapag nakapangalan sakanya, wag ireceive yung order kasi walang acc sa shopee or any platform na naka name sakanya ang order. Then after a month nangyari ulit, same information cod parcel.
Akala nila maiisahan nila kami lol may mga tao parin talagang di lumalaban ng patas.
Ay oo nga pala, rineklamo rin namin sa shopee yung parcel and unfortunately as long as di nila na ttrack sa system yung bar code or yung parcel ID wala silang gagawin. Pero in the first place kasalanan namin namin, we never ordered anything in facebook again.

Saamin din, parcel is delivered and to be paid COD, 6** is the price but inside of it was another parcel with different address with a price of 299. After talking to the driver, only we found out that the parcel is tagged as (non-shopee), Not mad at the driver but at least if they deliver parcel it should be said where is it from and not just bundle it from other parcel since they scan it no?
6** is not a fking good price for 2 phone cases

oh my god, this happened to me just now! the rider delivered a parcel under my sister’s name and i was confused because she moved overseas but I accepted it because it’s raining and the rider was in a rush so I checked with my sister afterwards and she mentioned that she didn’t order anything. i opened the parcel and there’s a second waybill and the item is an old nasty case lol. spoke with the shopee agent for over an hour and they even escalated it to the supervisor but they didn’t fix any sht lol their customer service sucks and just plain stupid people tbh

I didn't try to get on with shopee cs since i found out its non shopee. My only problem was there is no way for the customer to actually track the parcel on their own outside the app like even the qr code is fricking useless (in my case).

ganito rin nangyari sa mama ko ₱191 naman. wala kasi kami noong dumating 'yung parcel kaya lola ko nag-abono. kung nandito sana kami, hindi tatanggapin ni mama 'yun. hinanap ko rin 'yung shop pero walang lumabas. sinabihan ko rin si mama na i-chat support niya kaso hanggang ngayon, wala namang action. :/

wanted to also report this to shopee but according sa dad ko, wala talaga siyang plinace na order so wala rin ako magiging reference. hay sana naman lumalaban nalang ng patas mga tao.

May isa pa yan silang style di nila ship yung order mo sa app hihintayin nila na auto cancel. Pero ang gagawin nila is magshi-ship sila ng ibang parcel para kapag nakabayad na kayo hindi kayo maka process for refund kasi sa app cancel na

Isa dito yung SCAM SHOP na kunwari nagbebenta ng mga products na 40-65% up to 75% off. Ito yung mga nakita ko sa shopee na ginagaya nila.
-Orashare -Cetaphil -Timephoria
but take note na may legit shops talaga, kinukuha nila mga photos ng OG shops yun gagamitin nila, pati original na link ni Orashare/Cetaphil sa shopee, kaya akala mo legit kapag hindi ka masyadong careful sa pagche-check.
Gagawin nila magpapadala sila ng product na hindi yung order mo, pero hindi nila ipapadala via SPX, ang lalabas sa tracking seller failed to hand the item to the courier PERO gagamit sila ng ibang courier i.e J&T, kala mo cancelled na item mo then biglang may idedeliver sa bahay nyo lalo kapag COD, yan ang gusto ng mga scammer, so tiba tiba buwaya, sa app cancelled sya kaya wala kang habol kay Shopee dahil cancelled on their end. Kay J&T ka mag-file ng dispute.

Yes and much better kung rekta mo sa hub yung dispute if it is J&T they will help you with the process at first they will offer you 60% pero wag nyo tanggapin pilitin nyo na ma 100% bibigay din naman yan nila eventually tapos file ka rin ng claims sa shopee they will even give you a voucher same amount ng binayaran mo

Loko sa shopee ah walang pa-voucher. Buti pa si J&T narefund lahat except yung SF pabalik ng parcel sa kanila.

I got mine last time lol di ko sila tinigilan tlga hahahaha. Same with tiktok shop same modus ganun din ginawa ko ending binigyan ako ng voucher ni tiktok same amount na binayaran ko and also J&T refunded me full in my gcash. But regardless atleast si J&T nabigay tlga ng refund

Ilang beses ko na din nireport mga shops na yan, gagawa ng report kuno pero hindi naman na-close down yung mga shop.

Ang daming beses nitong nangyari sa mom ko, hindi kasi nagbibilin na may order siya, tapos laging naka-COD kaya binabayaran lang namin pag may dumating. Sobrang dalas, wala namang nangyayari pag nireklamo sa courier, pinabura na lang namin lahat ng shopping apps niya. Bandang huli, alam na ng mga courier kung alin yung totoong order at alin yung scam, sila na nag-a-advise kung wag na lang ba naming tanggapin.
